1_Peter 2:1(KJV)Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,

1_Peter 2:1(NIV)Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.

彼前2:2(NCV)像初生嬰孩愛慕那純淨的靈奶,好叫你們靠它長大,進入救恩;

1_Peter 2:2(KJV)As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:

1_Peter 2:2(NIV)Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation,

1_Peter 2:3(KJV)If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

1_Peter 2:3(NIV)now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

1_Peter 2:4(KJV)To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

1_Peter 2:4(NIV)【The Living Stone and a Chosen People 】As you come to him, the living Stone(NIV)rejected by men but chosen by God and precious to him--

彼前2:5(CLV)你們到祂面前來,也成了活石,上帝要用來建造祂的靈宮。你們又作了聖潔的祭司,藉著耶穌基督,把上帝所悅納的靈祭獻上;

1_Peter 2:5(KJV)Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

1_Peter 2:5(NIV)you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

1_Peter 2:6(KJV)Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.

1_Peter 2:6(NIV)For in Scripture it says: "See, I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame."

彼前2:7(CLV)所以,對你們信徒而言,基督是寶貴的;而對那些不信的人來說,基督便是「工匠所拋棄、現在卻成了建房子的基石」的那塊石頭了;

1_Peter 2:7(KJV)Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner,

1_Peter 2:7(NIV)Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, "The stone the builders rejected has become the capstone,"

1_Peter 2:8(KJV)And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.

1_Peter 2:8(NIV)and, "A stone that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall." They stumble because they disobey the message--which is also what they were destined for.

1_Peter 2:9(KJV)But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

1_Peter 2:9(NIV)But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

1_Peter 2:10(KJV)Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

1_Peter 2:10(NIV)Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

彼前2:11(CLV)親愛的弟兄姊妹,你們要知道在世上只不過是作客和寄居的。所以,我勸你們要禁絕那向靈魂挑戰的情慾;

1_Peter 2:11(KJV)Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

1_Peter 2:11(NIV) Dear friends, I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul.

1_Peter 2:12(KJV)Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.

1_Peter 2:12(NIV)Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.

彼前2:13(CLV)為主的緣故,你們要服從人所立的一切制度──不論是國家元首, 1_Peter 2:13(KJV)Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord's sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme;

1_Peter 2:13(NIV)【Submission to Rulers and Masters】Submit yourselves for the Lord's sake to every authority instituted among men: whether to the king, as the supreme authority,

彼前2:14(NCV)或是君王所派賞善罰惡的官員;

彼前2:14(CLV)或是執行法紀的政府官員;

1_Peter 2:14(KJV)Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.

1_Peter 2:14(NIV)or to governors, who are sent by him to punish those who do wrong and to commend those who do right.

1_Peter 2:15(KJV)For so is the will of God, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men:

1_Peter 2:15(NIV)For it is God's will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish men.

1_Peter 2:16(KJV)As free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of God.

1_Peter 2:16(NIV)Live as free men, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as servants of God.

1_Peter 2:17(KJV)Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.

1_Peter 2:17(NIV)Show proper respect to everyone: Love the brotherhood of believers, fear God, honor the king.

彼前2:18(CLV)你們作家僕的,要恭敬地服從主人,不但服從那良善溫和的,就是乖僻兇惡的也要服從;

1_Peter 2:18(KJV)Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

1_Peter 2:18(NIV)Slaves, submit yourselves to your masters with all respect, not only to those who are good and considerate, but also to those who are harsh.

1_Peter 2:19(KJV)For this is thankworthy, if a man for conscience toward God endure grief, suffering wrongfully.

1_Peter 2:19(NIV)For it is commendable if a man bears up under the pain of unjust suffering because he is conscious of God.

1_Peter 2:20(KJV)For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently, this is acceptable with God.

1_Peter 2:20(NIV)But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God.

1_Peter 2:21(KJV)For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

1_Peter 2:21(NIV)To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.

1_Peter 2:22(KJV)Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:

1_Peter 2:22(NIV)"He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth."

1_Peter 2:23(KJV)Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

1_Peter 2:23(NIV)When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

1_Peter 2:24(KJV)Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

1_Peter 2:24(NIV)He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.

1_Peter 2:25(KJV)For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

1_Peter 2:25(NIV)For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.
