　And quarreling arose between Abram's herdsmen and the herdsmen of Lot. The Canaanites and Perizzites were also living in the land at that time.

亞伯蘭與羅得分離

　亞伯蘭就對羅得說：「你我之間，切不可紛爭；你的牧人和我的牧人之間，也不可紛爭，因為我們是至親。

　亞伯蘭就對羅得說、你我不可相爭、你的牧人和我的牧人也不可相爭、因為我們是骨肉。〔原文作『弟兄』〕

　亞伯蘭對羅得說：「你我情同手足，我們的牧人也實在不該互相爭執。

　And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray thee, between me and thee, and between my herdmen and thy herdmen; for we be brethren.

　So Abram said to Lot, "Let's not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herdsmen and mine, for we are brothers.

　遍地不都在你眼前麼．請你離開我、你向左、我就向右、你向右、我就向左。

　全地不都是在你面前嗎﹖請你離開我吧！你若向左，我就向右；你若向右，我就向左。」

　Lot looked up and saw that the whole plain of the Jordan was well watered, like the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, toward Zoar.（This was before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah.）

　羅得離開亞伯蘭以後，耶和華對亞伯蘭說：「你要舉目，從你所在的地方向東西南北觀看。
