 《可拉後裔的詩、交與伶長。》萬民哪、你們都當聽這話。世上一切的居民、

詩 49:1NCV

 《可拉子孫的詩,交給詩班長。》萬民哪!你們要聽這話;世上的居民哪!你們要留心聽。

 世上所有的人啊,你們不論貴賤貧富,都要來聽我的話。

 Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:

 一個也無法贖自己弟兄、也不能替他將贖價給 神、

 但他們沒有一個能把他的兄弟贖回,或把他的贖價交給 神,

 即使他們富有如君王,也不能把自己的兄弟從上帝的手中買贖出來。

 None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:

 他們心裏思想、他們的家室必永存、住宅必留到萬代.他們以自己的名、稱自己的地。

 他們用自己的名字來為產業命名,以為自己能永遠擁有它,可以永遠安居其上。

 Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names.

 Their tombs will remain their houses forever, their dwellings for endless generations, though they had named lands after themselves.
