創33:1(CUV)雅各 舉目觀看、見以掃來了、後頭跟著四百人.他就把孩子們分開交給利亞拉結、和兩個使女.

創33:1(NCV)雅各舉目觀看,見以掃帶著四百人來了;他就把孩子分開 三隊,交給利亞、拉結和兩個婢女。

創33:1(CLV)雅各 遠遠看見以掃帶著四百名壯丁浩浩蕩蕩的迎面而來,便把孩子分別交給利亞拉結和兩個妾侍,

創33:2(CUV)並且叫兩個使女和他們的孩子在前頭、 利亞和他的孩子在後頭、拉結約瑟在儘後頭。

創33:9(CUV)以掃 說、兄弟阿、我的已經彀了、你的仍歸你罷。

創33:9(NCV)以掃 說:「弟弟啊,我已經很富有了,你的仍歸你吧。」

創33:10(CUV)雅各說、不然、我若在你眼前蒙恩、就求你從我手裏收下這禮物、因為我見了你的面、如同見了 神的面、並且你容納了我。

創33:10(CLV)雅各說:「不,請你收下吧!因為我沒有見到你以前,心裏就有一種像要見上帝的驚懼感覺,但你卻是這樣友善地接侍我。

創33:11(CUV)求你收下我帶來給你的禮物、因為 神恩待我、使我充足.雅各再三的求他、他纔收下了。

創33:11(NCV)請你收下我帶來給你的禮物,因為 神施恩給我,我甚麼都有了。」雅各再三懇求他,他才收下了。

創33:11(CLV)而且上帝恩待了我,使我富足。所以,請你就收下我的禮物吧!」雅各再三懇求,最後,以掃就只好把這些東西都收下了。

創33:12(CUV)以掃說、我們可以起身前往、我在你前頭走.

創33:12(NCV)以掃說:「我們起程前行吧,我和你一起走。」

創33:12(CLV)「好了,我們走吧!我會走在你前面的。」以掃說。

創33:13(CUV)雅各對他說、我主知道孩子們年幼嬌嫩、牛羊也正在乳養的時候、若是催趕一天、群畜都必死了。

創33:13(NCV)雅各對他說:「我主知道孩子們還年幼嬌嫩;牛羊也正在乳養的時候,需要我的照顧;如果要催趕牠們走一天的路,恐怕所有牲畜都要死了。

創33:13(CLV)雅各卻說:「哥哥,你知道孩子們都還很小,而且,我還要照顧正在哺乳的牛羊,如果要他們整天趕路,恐怕大家都會累死了。

創33:14(CUV)求我主在僕人前頭走.我要量著在我面前群畜和孩子的力量慢慢的前行、直走到西珥我主那裏。

創33:14(NCV)請我主在僕人前頭先行;我要照著在我面前群畜和孩子們的速度,慢慢前行,直走到西珥我主那裏去。」

創33:14(CLV)倒不如請你先走,我就遷就牲畜和孩子慢慢走,我們在西珥跟你會合吧!」

創33:15(CUV)以掃說、容我把跟隨我的人留幾個在你這裏.雅各說、何必呢、只要在我主眼前蒙恩就是了。

創33:15(NCV)以掃說:「讓我把跟隨我的人留幾個在你這裏吧。」雅各說:「為甚麼要這樣呢﹖只要我得我主的喜悅就是了。」

Genesis 33:1(KJV) And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.

Genesis 33:1(NIV) Jacob looked up and there was Esau, coming with his four hundred men; so he divided the children among Leah, Rachel and the two maidservants.

Genesis 33:2(KJV) And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.

Genesis 33:2(NIV) He put the maidservants and their children in front, Leah and her children next, and Rachel and Joseph in the rear.

Genesis 33:3(KJV) And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.

Genesis 33:3(NIV) He himself went on ahead and bowed down to the ground seven times as he approached his brother.

Genesis 33:8(NIV) Esau asked, "What do you mean by all these droves I met?" "To find favor in your eyes, my lord," he said.

Genesis 33:9(KJV) And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.

Genesis 33:9(NIV) But Esau said, "I already have plenty, my brother. Keep what you have for yourself."

Genesis 33:10(KJV) And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.

Genesis 33:10(NIV) "No, please!" said Jacob. "If I have found favor in your eyes, accept this gift from me. For to see your face is like seeing the face of God, now that you have received me favorably.

Genesis 33:11(KJV) Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.

Genesis 33:11(NIV) Please accept the present that was brought to you, for God has been gracious to me and I have all I need." And because Jacob insisted, Esau accepted it.

Genesis 33:12(KJV) And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.

Genesis 33:12(NIV) Then Esau said, "Let us be on our way; I'll accompany you."

Genesis 33:13(KJV) And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.

Genesis 33:13(NIV) But Jacob said to him, "My lord knows that the children are tender and that I must care for the ewes and cows that are nursing their young. If they are driven hard just one day, all the animals will die.

Genesis 33:14(KJV) Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.

Genesis 33:14(NIV) So let my lord go on ahead of his servant, while I move along slowly at the pace of the droves before me and that of the children, until I come to my lord in Seir."

Genesis 33:15(KJV) And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.

Genesis 33:15(NIV) Esau said, "Then let me leave some of my men with you." "But why do that?" Jacob asked. "Just let me find favor in the eyes of my lord."

Genesis 33:16(KJV) So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir.

Genesis 33:16(NIV) So that day Esau started on his way back to Seir.

Genesis 33:17(KJV) And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.

Genesis 33:17(NIV) Jacob, however, went to Succoth, where he built a place for himself and made shelters for his livestock. That is why the place is called Succoth.

Genesis 33:18(KJV) And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padanaram; and pitched his tent before the city.

Genesis 33:18(NIV) After Jacob came from Paddan Aram, he arrived safely at the city of Shechem in Canaan and camped within sight of the city.

Genesis 33:19(KJV) And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem's father, for an hundred pieces of money.

Genesis 33:19(NIV) For a hundred pieces of silver, he bought from the sons of Hamor, the father of Shechem, the plot of ground where he pitched his tent.

 And he erected there an altar, and called it EleloheIsrael.

 There he set up an altar and called it El Elohe Israel.
