得1:1(CUV)當士師秉政的時候、國中遭遇饑荒、在猶大伯利恆、有一個人帶著妻子和兩個兒子往 摩押地去寄居.

得1:1(NCV)在士師統治期間,國內發生了饑荒。有一個人帶著妻子和兩個兒子,從猶大 伯利恆前往摩押地去,寄居在那裏。

得1:1(CLV)在士師執政的時代,有一次猶大各地發生了饑荒。有一個住在伯利恆的以法他人,名叫 以利米勒,帶著妻子拿俄米和兩個兒子瑪倫基連離開自己的故鄉,遷移到摩押,在那裏定居下來。

得1:11(CUV)拿俄米說、我女兒們哪、回去罷、為何要跟我去呢、我還能生子作你們的丈夫麼.

得1:11(NCV)拿俄米說:「我女兒哪,你們回去吧,為甚麼要跟我去呢﹖我肚子裏還有兒子作你們的丈夫嗎﹖

得1:11(CLV)拿俄米說:「為甚麼跟著我呢?你們還是回娘家去吧,難道我還能生兒子作你們的丈夫嗎?

得1:12(CUV)我女兒們哪、回去罷、我年紀老邁、不能再有丈夫、即或說、我還有指望、今夜有丈夫可以生子.

得1:12(NCV)走吧,我女兒啊,你們回去吧,因為我太老,不能嫁人了,就算我說我還有希望今天晚上有個丈夫,又生兒子,

得1:12(CLV)我已經老了,不可能再嫁人了,就是我真的再結婚,今天晚上就生兒子,

得1:13(CUV)你們豈能等著他們長大呢、你們豈能等著他們不嫁別人呢.我女兒們哪、不要這樣、我為你們的緣故甚是愁苦、因為耶和華伸手攻擊我。

得1:13(NCV)你們可以等到他們長大嗎﹖你們可以為他們守節而不嫁人嗎﹖不行,我女兒啊,我為你們非常難過,因為耶和華伸手對付我。」

得1:13(CLV)你們也等不到他們長大啊!我的兒媳婦啊!我真為你們難過,因為上帝懲罰我;卻把你們也連累了。」

得1:14(CUV)兩個兒婦又放聲而哭、俄珥巴與婆婆親嘴而別、只是路得捨不得 拿俄米

得1:14(NCV)她們又放聲大哭。俄珥巴就和婆婆吻別,路得卻捨不得離開 拿俄米

得1:14(CLV)兩個兒媳婦聽了婆婆的這番話,又放聲大哭。最後,俄珥巴還是吻了婆婆,上路回自己的家鄉去了;然而, 路得卻是依依不捨,不肯離去。

得1:15(CUV)拿俄米說、看哪、你嫂子已經回他本國、和他所拜的神那裏去了、你也跟著你嫂子回去罷。

得1:15(NCV)拿俄米說:「你看,你嫂嫂已經回到她同胞和她的神那裏去了。你也跟著嫂嫂回去吧。」

得1:15(CLV)拿俄米對路得說:「看,你的嫂嫂已經回她的家鄉和她所拜的神那裏去了,你也跟她回去吧!」

得1:16(CUV)路得說、不要催我回去不跟隨你、你往那裏去、我也往那裏去.你在那裏住宿、我也在那裏住宿.你的國就是我的國、你的 神就是我的 神.

得1:16(NCV)路得說:「請不要逼我離開你回去,不跟隨你。你到哪裏去,我也要那哪裏去;你在哪裏過夜,我也要在那裏過夜;你的同胞就是我的同胞,你的 神就是我的 神;

得1:16(CLV)路得卻堅持說:「不要催我,也不要逼我離開你。你往哪裏去,我也要往哪裏去;你住在哪裏,我也要住在哪裏;你的國就是我的國,你的上帝就是我的上帝;你死在哪裏,我也死在那裏,也葬在那裏。只有死才能夠把我們分開;不然的話,願上帝重重地懲罰我!」

得1:17(CUV)你在那裏死、我也在那裏死、也葬在那裏.除非死能使你我相離、不然、願耶和華重重地降罰與我。

得1:17(NCV)你死在哪裏,我也要死在那裏,葬在那裏。除非死亡把你我分離;如果我離開你,願耶和華加倍懲罰我。」

得1:18(CUV)拿俄米路得定意要跟隨自己去、就不再勸他了。●

得1:18(NCV)拿俄米路得堅決要跟她走,就不再多費唇舌了。

得1:18(CLV)拿俄米看見路得的態度堅決,也就不再勸阻她了。

得1:19(CUV)於是二人同行、來到伯利恆、他們到了伯利恆、合城的人就都驚訝、婦女們說、這是 拿俄米麼。

得1:19(NCV)她們雙雙上路,來到伯利恆。她們到達的時候,全城都因她們的緣故騷動起來。婦女們說:「這是 拿俄米嗎﹖」

得1:19(CLV)於是,她們婆媳二人便一同回到伯利恆。城裏的人看見她們都十分驚訝,有些婦女還詫異地問:「這不是 拿俄米嗎?」

得1:20(CUV)拿俄米對他們說、不要叫我拿俄米、〔『拿俄米』就是『甜』的意思〕要叫我 瑪拉、〔『瑪拉』就是『苦』的意思〕因為全能者使我受了大苦。

得1:20(NCV)拿俄米對她們說:「不要叫我拿俄米,叫我瑪拉吧,因為全能者使我吃盡了苦頭。

得1:20(CLV)拿俄米對她們說:「不要再叫我拿俄米了﹙拿俄米是甜的意思﹚,叫我 瑪拉吧﹙瑪拉是苦的意思﹚!全能的上帝叫我過得好苦啊!

得1:21(CUV)我滿滿的出去、耶和華使我空空的回來、耶和華降禍與我、全能者使我受苦、既是這樣、你們為何還叫我 拿俄米呢。

得1:21(NCV)我滿滿地出去,耶和華卻使我空空地回來,你們為甚麼還叫我拿俄米呢﹖耶和華折磨我,全能者加害於我。」

得1:21(CLV)我離開這裏的時候是富足的,現在,上帝卻使我空著手回來,甚麼都沒有了。上帝既然叫我受苦,你們叫我 拿俄米又有甚麼意思呢?」

得1:22(CUV)拿俄米和他兒婦摩押女子路得、從摩押地回來到 伯利恆、正是動手割大麥的時候。

Ruth 1:1(KJV) Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehemjudah went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.

Ruth 1:1(NIV)  In the days when the judges ruled, there was a famine in the land, and a man from Bethlehem in Judah, together with his wife and two sons, went to live for a while in the country of Moab.

Ruth 1:2(KJV) And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion, Ephrathites of Bethlehemjudah. And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there.

Ruth 1:2(NIV) The man's name was Elimelech, his wife's name Naomi, and the names of his two sons were Mahlon and Kilion. They were Ephrathites from Bethlehem, Judah. And they went to Moab and lived there.

Ruth 1:3(KJV) And Elimelech Naomi's husband died; and she was left, and her two sons.

Ruth 1:3(NIV) Now Elimelech, Naomi's husband, died, and she was left with her two sons.

Ruth 1:4(KJV) And they took them wives of the women of Moab; the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth : and they dwelled there about ten years.

Ruth 1:6(KJV) Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that the LORD had visited his people in giving them bread.

Ruth 1:6(NIV) When she heard in Moab that the LORD had come to the aid of his people by providing food for them, Naomi and her daughters-in-law prepared to return home from there.

Ruth 1:7(KJV)  Wherefore she went forth out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah.

Ruth 1:7(NIV) With her two daughters-in-law she left the place where she had been living and set out on the road that would take them back to the land of Judah.

Ruth 1:8(KJV) And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her mother's house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me.

Ruth 1:8(NIV) Then Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, "Go back, each of you, to your mother's home. May the LORD show kindness to you, as you have shown to your dead and to me.

Ruth 1:9(KJV) The LORD grant you that ye may find rest, each of you in the house of her husband. Then she kissed them; and they lifted up their voice, and wept.

Ruth 1:10(KJV) And they said unto her, Surely we will return with thee unto thy people.

Ruth 1:11(KJV) And Naomi said, Turn again, my daughters: why will ye go with me? are there yet any more sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands?

Ruth 1:11(NIV) But Naomi said, "Return home, my daughters. Why would you come with me? Am I going to have any more sons, who could become your husbands?

Ruth 1:12(KJV) Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons;

Ruth 1:12(NIV) Return home, my daughters; I am too old to have another husband. Even if I thought there was still hope for me--even if I had a husband tonight and then gave birth to sons--

Ruth 1:13(KJV) Would ye tarry for them till they were grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD is gone out against me.

Ruth 1:13(NIV) would you wait until they grew up? Would you remain unmarried for them? No, my daughters. It is more bitter for me than for you, because the LORD'S hand has gone out against me!"

Ruth 1:14(KJV) And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her mother in law; but Ruth clave unto her.

Ruth 1:14(NIV) At this they wept again. Then Orpah kissed her mother-in-law good-by, but Ruth clung to her.

Ruth 1:15(KJV) And she said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods: return thou after thy sister in law.

Ruth 1:15(NIV) "Look," said Naomi, "your sister-in-law is going back to her people and her gods. Go back with her."

Ruth 1:16(KJV) And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:

Ruth 1:16(NIV) But Ruth replied, "Don't urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God.

Ruth 1:17(KJV)  Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.

Ruth 1:17(NIV) Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD deal with me, be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me."

Ruth 1:18(KJV) When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.

Ruth 1:18(NIV) When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her.

Ruth 1:19(KJV) So they two went until they came to Bethlehem. And it came to pass, when they were come to Bethlehem, that all the city was moved about them, and they said, Is this Naomi?

Ruth 1:19(NIV) So the two women went on until they came to Bethlehem. When they arrived in Bethlehem, the whole town was stirred because of them, and the women exclaimed, "Can this be Naomi?"

Ruth 1:20(KJV) And she said unto them, Call me not Naomi, call me Mara: for the Almighty hath dealt very bitterly with me.

Ruth 1:20(NIV) "Don't call me Naomi," she told them. "Call me Mara, because the Almighty has made my life very bitter.

Ruth 1:21(KJV) I went out full, and the LORD hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing the LORD hath testified against me, and the Almighty hath afflicted me?

Ruth 1:21(NIV) I went away full, but the LORD has brought me back empty. Why call me Naomi? The LORD has afflicted me; the Almighty has brought misfortune upon me."

Ruth 1:22(KJV) So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter in law, with her, which returned out of the country of Moab: and they came to Bethlehem in the beginning of barley harvest.

Ruth 1:22(NIV) So Naomi returned from Moab accompanied by Ruth the Moabitess, her daughter-in-law, arriving in Bethlehem as the barley harvest was beginning.
