王下1:5（CLV）以利亞將天使的話告訴王的親信，他們便立刻折返見王。王問他們說：「為甚麼你們這麼快就回來了呢？」

王下1:6（CUV）使者回答說、有一個人迎著我們來、對我們說、你們回去見差你們來的王、對他說、耶和華如此說、你差人去問以革倫神巴力西卜、豈因以色列中沒有　神麼．所以你必不下所上的床、必定要死。

王下1:6（NCV）他們對王說：「有一個人上來迎著我們，又對我們說：『去吧，回到那差派你們的王那裏，對他說：耶和華這樣說：你派人去求問以革倫的神巴力．西卜，是因為以色列中沒有　神嗎？因此，你必不能從你躺上去的那張床上下來，因為你必定死。』」

王下1:6（CLV）他們就回答說：「有一個人在路上截住我們，對我們說：『你們回去告訴差你們來的王，主說：你差人去求問以革倫神巴力西卜，是否因為以色列沒有上帝呢？你再沒有機會下床了，你必定要死。』」

王下1:7（CUV）王問他們說、迎著你們來告訴你們這話的、是怎樣的人。

王下1:7（NCV）王對他們說：「那上來迎著你們，又對你們說這番話的是個怎樣的人﹖」

王下1:7（CLV）王再問他們說：「在路上截住你們、對你們說這些話的，是一個怎樣的人呢？」

王下1:8（CUV）回答說、他身穿毛衣、腰束皮帶．王說、這必是提斯比人以利亞。●

王下1:9（CUV）於是王差遣五十夫長、帶領五十人去見以利亞、他就上到以利亞那裏．以利亞正坐在山頂上。五十夫長對他說、神人哪、王吩咐你下來。

王下1:9（NCV）於是王差派一個五十夫長和他的五十名手下到以利亞那裏；那位五十夫長就上到以利亞那裏去。他看見以利亞正坐在山頂上，就對以利亞說：「神人哪！王吩咐你下來。」

王下1:9（CLV）於是王派了一個軍官，率領部屬五十人去找以利亞，原來那時，他正坐在山頂上。軍官就對他說：「神人哪，王命令你下來。」

王下1:10（CUV）以利亞回答說、我若是神人、願火從天上降下來、燒滅你和你那五十人。於是有火從天上降下來、燒滅五十夫長、和他那五十人。

王下1:10（NCV）以利亞回答五十夫長說：「如果我是神人，願火從天降下，把你和你的五十名手下吞滅。"於是有火從天降下，吞滅了五十夫長和他的五十名手下。

王下1:10（CLV）以利亞說：「我若是神人，願火從天降下，燒滅你和你的五十個部屬。」話剛說完，果然有火從天降下，燒滅了那軍官和他的五十個部屬。

王下1:11（CUV）王第二次差遣一個五十夫長、帶領五十人去見以利亞。五十夫長對以利亞說、神人哪、王吩咐你快快下來。

王下1:11（NCV）王再次派一個五十夫長和他的五十名手下到以利亞那裏裏。那五十夫長對以利亞說：「神人哪！王這樣吩咐：『你快快下來。』」

王下1:11（CLV）亞哈謝王再派另一個軍官，率領部屬五十人去拘捕以利亞。軍官對以利亞說：「神人哪，王命令你速速下來。」

王下1:12（CUV）以利亞回答說、我若是神人、願火從天上降下來、燒滅你和你那五十人。於是　神的火從天上降下來、燒滅五十夫長、和他那五十人。

王下1:12（NCV）以利亞回答他們說：「如果我是神人，願火從天降下，把你和你的五十名手下吞滅。」於是　神的火從天上降下，吞了滅五十夫長和他的五十手下。

王下1:12（CLV）以利亞說：「我若是神人，願火從天降下，燒滅你和你的五十個部屬。」說完了這話，上帝的火從天降下，燒滅了那軍官和他五十個部屬。

王下1:13（CUV）王第三次差遣一個五十夫長、帶領五十人去。這五十夫長上去雙膝跪在以利亞面前、哀求他說、神人哪、願我的性命、和你這五十個僕人的性命、在你眼前看為寶貴。

王下1:14（CUV）已經有火從天上袶下來、燒滅前兩次來的五十夫長、和他們各自帶的五十人．現在願我的性命在你眼前看為寶貴。

王下1:14（NCV）看哪！曾經有火從天袶下，吞滅了先前兩個五十夫長和他們各五十名手下；現在，願我的性命在你眼中看為寶貴。」

王下1:14（CLV）先前的兩個軍官和他們的部屬已經被從天上降下的火燒滅了。求你顧全我們的性命吧。」

王下1:15（CUV）耶和華的使者對以利亞說、你同著他下去、不要怕他．以利亞就起來、同著他下去見王。

2_kings 1:1（KJV）Then Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.

2_Kings 1:1（NIV）　After Ahab's death, Moab rebelled against Israel.

2_kings 1:2（KJV）And Ahaziah fell down through a lattice in his upper chamber that was in Samaria, and was sick: and he sent messengers, and said unto them, Go, enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron whether I shall recover of this disease.

2_Kings 1:2（NIV）　Now Ahaziah had fallen through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria and injured himself. So he sent messengers, saying to them, "Go and consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, to see if I will recover from this injury."

2_kings 1:3（KJV）But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say unto them, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that ye go to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron?

2_Kings 1:6（NIV）　"A man came to meet us," they replied. "And he said to us, 'Go back to the king who sent you and tell him, "This is what the LORD says: Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending men to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you will not leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!" '"

2_kings 1:9（KJV）Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down.

2_Kings 1:9（NIV）　Then he sent to Elijah a captain with his company of fifty men. The captain went up to Elijah, who was sitting on the top of a hill, and said to him, "Man of God, the king says, 'Come down!'"

2_kings 1:10（KJV）And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.

2_Kings 1:10（NIV）　Elijah answered the captain, "If I am a man of God, may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!" Then fire fell from heaven and consumed the captain and his men.

2_kings 1:11（KJV）Again also he sent unto him another captain of fifty with his fifty. And he answered and said unto him, O man of God, thus hath the king said, Come down quickly.

2_Kings 1:11（NIV）　At this the king sent to Elijah another captain with his fifty men. The captain said to him, "Man of God, this is what the king says, 'Come down at once!'"

2_kings 1:12（KJV）And Elijah answered and said unto them, If I be a man of God, let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And the fire of God came down from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.

2_Kings 1:12（NIV）　"If I am a man of God," Elijah replied, "may fire come down from heaven and consume you and your fifty men!" Then the fire of God fell from heaven and consumed him and his fifty men.

2_kings 1:13（KJV）And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight.

2_Kings 1:13（NIV）　So the king sent a third captain with his fifty men. This third captain went up and fell on his knees before Elijah. "Man of God," he begged, "please have respect for my life and the lives of these fifty men, your servants!

2_kings 1:14（KJV）Behold, there came fire down from heaven, and burnt up the two captains of the former fifties with their fifties: therefore let my life now be precious in thy sight.

2_Kings 1:14（NIV）　See, fire has fallen from heaven and consumed the first two captains and all their men. But now have respect for my life!"

2_kings 1:15（KJV）And the angel of the LORD said unto Elijah, Go down with him: be not afraid of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the king.

2_Kings 1:15（NIV）　The angel of the LORD said to Elijah, "Go down with him; do not be afraid of him." So Elijah got up and went down with him to the king.

2_kings 1:16（KJV）And he said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast sent messengers to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron, is it not because there is no God in Israel to enquire of his word? therefore thou shalt not come down off that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.

2_Kings 1:16（NIV）　He told the king, "This is what the LORD says: Is it because there is no God in Israel for you to consult that you have sent messengers to consult Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron? Because you have done this, you will never leave the bed you are lying on. You will certainly die!"

2_kings 1:17（KJV）So he died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. And Jehoram reigned in his stead in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah; because he had no son.

2_Kings 1:17（NIV）　So he died, according to the word of the LORD that Elijah had spoken. Because Ahaziah had no son, Joram succeeded him as king in the second year of Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat king of Judah.

2_kings 1:18（KJV）Now the rest of the acts of Ahaziah which he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?
