摩1:1（NCV）提哥亞的牧人阿摩司，在猶大王烏西雅和 以色列王約阿施的兒子耶羅波安作王的日子，大地震前二年所見的異象，就是有關以色列的話， 記在下面。●

Amos 1:1（KJV）The words of Amos , who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.

Amos 1:1（NIV）The words of Amos, one of the shepherds of Tekoa--what he saw concerning Israel two years before the earthquake, when Uzziah was king of Judah and Jeroboam son of Jehoash was king of Israel.

Amos 1:2（KJV）And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.

Amos 1:2（NIV）He said: "The LORD roars from Zion and thunders from Jerusalem; the pastures of the shepherds dry up, and the top of Carmel withers."

Judgment on Israel's Neighbors

Amos 1:13（NIV）This is what the LORD says:"For three sins of Ammon, even for four, I will not turn back my wrath. Because he ripped open the pregnant women of Gilead in order to extend his borders,

Amos 1:14（KJV）But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:

Amos 1:14（NIV）I will set fire to the walls of Rabbah that will consume her fortresses amid war cries on the day of battle, amid violent winds on a stormy day.

Amos 1:15（KJV）And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD.
