哈1:1（CLV）以下是哈巴谷先知在異象中從上帝所得到的指示。●

哈1:2（CUV）他說、耶和華阿、我呼求你、你不應允、要到幾時呢．我因強暴哀求你、你還不拯救。

哈1:2（NCV）耶和華啊！我懇求，你不垂聽，要到幾時呢？我向你呼叫『有狂暴的事』，你卻不拯救。

哈1:2（CLV）主啊，我要呼求到甚麼時候，你才願意垂聽呢？我受到殘暴的對待，你為甚麼不理會呢？

哈1:3（CUV）你為何使我看見罪孽．你為何看著奸惡而不理呢．毀滅和強暴在我面前．又起了爭端和相的事。

哈1:3（NCV）你為甚麼使我看見惡行？有奸惡的事，你為甚麼見而不理？毀滅和強暴在我面前，紛爭和相鬥常常發生。

哈1:3（CLV）你為甚麼要我所見的盡是罪孽、紛爭和愁苦呢？

哈1:4（CUV）因此律法放鬆、公理也不顯明．惡人圍困義人．所以公理顯然顛倒。●

哈1:5（CUV）耶和華說、你們要向列國中觀看、大大驚奇．因為在你們的時候、我行一件事、雖有人告訴你們、你們總是不信。

哈1:5（NCV）你們當看列國，要定睛觀看，就會大大驚奇，因為在你們的日子，我要作一件事，即使有人說了出來，你們也不會相信。

哈1:5（CLV）主回答說：「你環顧列國，小心察看，你必定會非常詫異，因為在你們有生之日，我要成就一件叫人難以置信的大事。

哈1:6（CUV）我必興起迦勒底人、就是那殘忍暴躁之民、通行遍地、佔據那不屬自己的住處。

哈1:6（NCV）就是要興起迦勒底人，那殘忍兇暴的民；他們遍行全地，佔領別人的家園。

哈1:6（CLV）我要興起發動那些兇殘的迦勒底人，使他們到處橫行，強佔別人的土地。

哈1:7（CUV）他威武可畏．判斷和勢力、都任意發出。

哈1:7（NCV）他們恐怖可怕，自以為義，趾高氣揚。

哈1:12（CUV）耶和華我的　神、我的聖者阿、你不是從亙古而有麼．我們必不致死。耶和華阿、你派定他為要刑罰人．磐石阿、你設立他為要懲治人。

哈1:12（NCV）耶和華我的　神，我的聖者阿！你不是自古就有的嗎？我們不會死的。耶和華啊！你派他們行審判。磐石啊！你立他們施懲罰。

哈1:12（CLV）主我的上帝，我的聖者啊，你不是從亙古就存在的嗎？這斷不是你的旨意叫我們死在他們手上！主我的磐石啊，你派遣迦勒底人來施行審判，是要藉此糾正我們的過犯，懲治我們的罪孽。

哈1:13（CUV）你眼目清潔不看邪僻、不看奸惡．行詭詐的、你為何看著不理呢．惡人吞滅比自己公義的、你為何靜默不語呢．

哈1:13（NCV）你的眼目純潔，不看邪惡，不能坐視奸惡；為甚麼見行詭詐的人而不理？惡人吞滅比自己公義的人，你為甚麼緘默呢？

哈1:13（CLV）你的眼睛極為潔淨，見不得邪惡，也不能容忍邪僻。現在義人被惡人吞滅，為甚麼你看見卻不理會呢？難道你一點也不在意嗎？你為甚麼默然不語呢？

哈1:14（CUV）你為何使人如海中的魚、又如沒有管轄的爬物呢。

哈1:14（NCV）你竟使人像海裏的魚，像無人管轄的爬蟲類。

哈1:14（CLV）你為甚麼使我們變得好像海裡的魚，地上的爬蟲一樣，沒有主宰，任人摧殘呢？

哈1:15（CUV）他用鉤鉤住、用網捕獲、用拉網聚集他們．因此、他歡喜快樂．

哈1:15（NCV）迦勒底人既用鉤把他們釣起來，用網拖走，用魚網收聚在一處，就歡喜快樂，

哈1:15（CLV）迦勒底人必用鉤鉤住我們，用網網住我們，歡天喜地地要把我們拖走。

Habakkuk's Complaint（Hab 1:2-4）

Hab 1:2（KJV）O LORD, how long shall I cry, and thou wilt not hear! even cry out unto thee of violence, and thou wilt not save!

Hab 1:2（NIV）How long, O LORD, must I call for help, but you do not listen? Or cry out to you, "Violence!" but you do not save?

Hab 1:3（KJV）Why dost thou shew me iniquity, and cause me to behold grievance? for spoiling and violence are before me: and there are that raise up strife and contention.

Hab 1:3（NIV）Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrong? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds.

Hab 1:4（KJV）Therefore the law is slacked, and judgment doth never go forth: for the wicked doth compass about the righteous; therefore wrong judgment proceedeth.

Hab 1:4（NIV）Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails. The wicked hem in the righteous, so that justice is perverted.

The LORD'S Answer（Hab 1:5-11）

Hab 1:5（KJV）Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.

Hab 1:5（NIV）"Look at the nations and watch--and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.

Hab 1:6（KJV）For, lo, I raise up the Chaldeans, that bitter and hasty nation, which shall march through the breadth of the land, to possess the dwellingplaces that are not theirs.

Hab 1:6（NIV）I am raising up the Babylonians,that ruthless and impetuous people, who sweep across the whole earth to seize dwelling places not their own.

Hab 1:7（KJV）They are terrible and dreadful: their judgment and their dignity shall proceed of themselves.

Hab 1:7（NIV）They are a feared and dreaded people; they are a law to themselves and promote their own honor.

Hab 1:8（KJV）Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly as the eagle that hasteth to eat.

Hab 1:8（NIV）Their horses are swifter than leopards, fiercer than wolves at dusk. Their cavalry gallops headlong; their horsemen come from afar. They fly like a vulture swooping to devour;

Hab 1:9（KJV）They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up as the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity as the sand.

Hab 1:9（NIV）they all come bent on violence. Their hordes advance like a desert wind and gather prisoners like sand.

Hab 1:10（KJV）And they shall scoff at the kings, and the princes shall be a scorn unto them: they shall deride every strong hold; for they shall heap dust, and take it.

Hab 1:10（NIV）They deride kings and scoff at rulers. They laugh at all fortified cities; they build earthen ramps and capture them.

Hab 1:11（KJV）Then shall his mind change, and he shall pass over, and offend, imputing this his power unto his god.

Hab 1:11（NIV）Then they sweep past like the wind and go on--guilty men, whose own strength is their god."

Habkkuk's Second Complaint

（Hab 1:12-17）

Hab 1:12（KJV）Art thou not from everlasting, O LORD my God, mine Holy One? we shall not die. O LORD, thou hast ordained them for judgment; and, O mighty God, thou hast established them for correction.

Hab 1:12（NIV）O LORD, are you not from everlasting? My God, my Holy One, we will not die. O LORD, you have appointed them to execute judgment; O Rock, you have ordained them to punish.

Hab 1:13（KJV）Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous than he?

Hab 1:13（NIV）Your eyes are too pure to look on evil; you cannot tolerate wrong. Why then do you tolerate the treacherous? Why are you silent while the wicked swallow up those more righteous than themselves?

Hab 1:14（KJV）And makest men as the fishes of the sea, as the creeping things, that have no ruler over them?

Hab 1:14（NIV）You have made men like fish in the sea, like sea creatures that have no ruler.

Hab 1:15（KJV）They take up all of them with the angle, they catch them in their net, and gather them in their drag: therefore they rejoice and are glad.

Hab 1:15（NIV）The wicked foe pulls all of them up with hooks, he catches them in his net, he gathers them up in his dragnet; and so he rejoices and is glad.

Hab 1:16（KJV）Therefore they sacrifice unto their net, and burn incense unto their drag; because by them their portion is fat, and their meat plenteous.

Hab 1:16（NIV）Therefore he sacrifices to his net and burns incense to his dragnet, for by his net he lives in luxury and enjoys the choicest food.

Hab 1:17（KJV）Shall they therefore empty their net, and not spare continually to slay the nations?

Hab 1:17（NIV）Is he to keep on emptying his net, destroying nations without mercy?
