Genesis 21:1（KJV）And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.

Genesis 21:10（KJV）Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

Genesis 21:10（NIV）and she said to Abraham, "Get rid of that slave woman and her son, for that slave woman's son will never share in the inheritance with my son Isaac."

Genesis 21:12（KJV）And God said unto Abraham,Let it not be grievous in thy sight because of the lad, and because of thy bondwoman; in all that Sarah hath said unto thee, hearken unto her voice; for in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

Genesis 21:12（NIV）But God said to him, "Do not be so distressed about the boy and your maidservant. Listen to whatever Sarah tells you, because it is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned.

創21:14（UCV）亞伯拉罕清早起來，拿餅，和一皮袋水，給了夏甲，搭在她的肩上，又把孩子交給她，打發她走。夏甲就走了，在別是巴的曠野走迷了路。

創21:14（NCV）亞伯拉罕清早起來，拿餅和一皮袋水，給了夏甲，放在她的肩膀上，又把孩子交給她，就打發她離開。夏甲走了，在別是巴的曠野飄蕩。

創21:14（CLV）第二天，亞伯拉罕清早起來，替夏甲母子準備了食物，把一皮袋水放在她的肩上，就打發他們離開。夏甲來到別是巴的荒野，便迷了路，茫無目的地四處遊蕩。

Genesis 21:14（KJV）And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and took bread, and a bottle of water, and gave it unto Hagar, putting it on her shoulder, and the child, and sent her away: and she departed, and wandered in the wilderness of Beersheba.

Genesis 21:14（NIV）Early the next morning Abraham took some food and a skin of water and gave them to Hagar. He set them on her shoulders and then sent her off with the boy. She went on her way and wandered in the desert of Beersheba.

創21:16（UCV）自己走開約有一箭之遠，相對而坐，說：「我不忍見孩子死！」就相對而坐，放聲大哭。

創21:16（NCV）然後自己走開，在離開約有一箭之遠的地方，相對而坐，說：「我不忍眼看孩子死去。」就相對坐著，放聲大哭。

Genesis 21:16（KJV）And she went, and sat her down over against him a good way off, as it were a bow shot: for she said, Let me not see the death of the child. And she sat over against him, and lift up her voice, and wept.

Genesis 21:16（NIV）Then she went off and sat down nearby, about a bowshot away, for she thought, "I cannot watch the boy die." And as she sat there nearby, she began to sob.

創21:17（UCV）【天使安慰夏甲】　神聽見童子的聲音；　神的使者從天上呼叫夏甲說：「夏甲，你為何這樣呢？不要害怕，　神已經聽見童子的聲音了。

創21:17（NCV）　神聽見了童子的聲音，祂的使者就從天上呼叫夏甲，對她說：「夏甲啊！你為甚麼這樣呢﹖不要害怕，因為孩子在那裡所發的聲音　神已經聽見了。

創21:17（CLV）上帝聽見孩子的哭聲，就差派天使從天上安慰夏甲說：「夏甲你怎麼了？不要害怕，上帝已經聽見你孩子在那邊的哭聲了。

Genesis 21:17（KJV）And God heard the voice of the lad; and the angel of God called to Hagar out of heaven, and said unto her,What aileth thee, Hagar? fear not; for God hath heard the voice of the lad where he is.

Genesis 21:17（NIV）God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven and said to her, "What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid; God has heard the boy crying as he lies there.

創21:18（UCV）起來！把童子抱在懷中〔『懷』原文作『手』〕我必使他的後裔成為大國。」

創21:18（NCV）起來，扶起孩子，盡力保護他；因為我要使他成為大國。」

Genesis 21:18（KJV）Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.

創21:19（UCV）　神使夏甲的眼睛明亮，她就看見一口水井，便去將皮袋盛滿了水，給童子喝。

創21:19（NCV）　神開了夏甲的眼睛，她就看見一口水井。她去把皮袋盛滿了水，給就孩子喝。

創21:19（CLV）天使說完以後，上帝就開了她的眼睛，讓她看見一口水井，她就連忙上前裝滿了一皮袋的水拿給兒子喝。

Genesis 21:19（KJV）And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.

Genesis 21:19（NIV）Then God opened her eyes and she saw a well of water. So she went and filled the skin with water and gave the boy a drink.

創21:20（UCV）　神保佑童子，他就漸長，住在曠野，成了弓箭手。

Genesis 21:22（KJV）And it came to pass at that time, that Abimelech and Phichol the chief captain of his host spake unto Abraham, saying, God is with thee in all that thou doest:

Genesis 21:22（NIV）【The Treaty Beersheba】At that time Abimelech and Phicol the commander of his forces said to Abraham, "God is with you in everything you do.

創21:23（UCV）我願你如今在這裡指著　神對我起誓：不要欺負我與我的兒子，並我的子孫。我怎樣厚待了你，你也要照樣厚待我，與你所寄居這地的民。」

Genesis 21:23（KJV）Now therefore swear unto me here by God that thou wilt not deal falsely with me, nor with my son, nor with my son's son: but according to the kindness that I have done unto thee, thou shalt do unto me, and to the land wherein thou hast sojourned.

Genesis 21:23（NIV）Now swear to me here before God that you will not deal falsely with me or my children or my descendants. Show to me and the country where you are living as an alien the same kindness I have shown to you."

創21:24（UCV）亞伯拉罕說：「我情願起誓。」

Genesis 21:25（KJV）And Abraham reproved Abimelech because of a well of water, which Abimelech's servants had violently taken away.

Genesis 21:25（NIV）Then Abraham complained to Abimelech about a well of water that Abimelech's servants had seized.

創21:26（UCV）亞比米勒說：「誰作這事，我不知道，你也沒有告訴我，今日我才聽見了。」

Genesis 21:26（KJV）And Abimelech said, I wot not who hath done this thing: neither didst thou tell me, neither yet heard I of it, but to day.

Genesis 21:26（NIV）But Abimelech said, "I don't know who has done this. You did not tell me, and I heard about it only today."

Genesis 21:27（KJV）And Abraham took sheep and oxen, and gave them unto Abimelech; and both of them made a covenant.

Genesis 21:29（KJV）And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What mean these seven ewe lambs which thou hast set by themselves?

Genesis 21:29（NIV）and Abimelech asked Abraham, "What is the meaning of these seven ewe lambs you have set apart by themselves?"

創21:30（UCV）他說：「你要從我手裡受這七隻母羊羔，作我挖這口井的證據。」

創21:30（NCV）亞伯拉罕回答：「意思就是：你從我手裡接受這七隻母羊羔，好作我挖了這口井的證據。」

創21:30（CLV）亞伯拉罕回答說：「你接受了這七頭小母羊，就表示你承認這口井是我開的了。」

Genesis 21:30（KJV）And he said, For these seven ewe lambs shalt thou take of my hand, that they may be a witness unto me, that I have digged this well.

Genesis 21:30（NIV）He replied, "Accept these seven lambs from my hand as a witness that I dug this well."

創21:31（UCV）所以，他給那地方起名叫別是巴，因為他們二人在那裡起了誓〔『別是巴』就是盟『約的井』〕。
