Genesis 28:1（KJV）And Isaac called Jacob, and blessed him, and charged him, and said unto him, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan.

Genesis 28:1（NIV）So Isaac called for Jacob and blessed him and commanded him: "Do not marry a Canaanite woman.

Genesis 28:2（KJV）Arise, go to Padanaram, to the house of Bethuel thy mother's father; and take thee a wife from thence of the daughters of Laban thy mother's brother.

Genesis 28:2（NIV）Go at once to Paddan Aram, to the house of your mother's father Bethuel. Take a wife for yourself there, from among the daughters of Laban, your mother's brother.

Genesis 28:5（KJV）And Isaac sent away Jacob: and he went to Padanaram unto Laban, son of Bethuel the Syrian, the brother of Rebekah, Jacob's and Esau's mother.

Genesis 28:5（NIV）Then Isaac sent Jacob on his way, and he went to Paddan Aram, to Laban son of Bethuel the Aramean, the brother of Rebekah, who was the mother of Jacob and Esau.

創28:6（UCV）以掃見以撒已經給雅各祝福，而且打發他住巴旦亞蘭去，在那裡娶妻，並見祝福的時候囑咐他說：「不要娶迦南的女子為妻。」

Genesis 28:6（KJV）When Esau saw that Isaac had blessed Jacob, and sent him away to Padanaram, to take him a wife from thence; and that as he blessed him he gave him a charge, saying, Thou shalt not take a wife of the daughters of Canaan;

Genesis 28:6（NIV）Now Esau learned that Isaac had blessed Jacob and had sent him to Paddan Aram to take a wife from there, and that when he blessed him he commanded him, "Do not marry a Canaanite woman,"

Genesis 28:12（NIV）He had a dream in which he saw a stairway resting on the earth, with its top reaching to heaven, and the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.

Genesis 28:13（NIV）There above it stood the LORD, and he said:"I am the LORD, the God of your father Abraham and the God of Isaac. I will give you and your descendants the land on which you are lying.

Genesis 28:14（KJV）And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and tothe north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

Genesis 28:14（NIV）Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.

創28:15（UCV）我也與你同在。你無論往那裡去，我必保佑你，領你歸回這地，總不離棄你，直到我成全了向你所應許的。」

創28:15（NCV）我與你同在，你無論到那裡去，我必看顧你，我必領你回到這地方來，因為我必不離棄你，直到我實現了我對你所應許的。」

Genesis 28:15（KJV）And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

Genesis 28:15（NIV）I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you."

創28:16（UCV）雅各睡醒了，說：「耶和華真在這裡，我竟不知道！」

Genesis 28:16（KJV）And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.

Genesis 28:16（NIV）When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, "Surely the LORD is in this place, and I was not aware of it."

創28:17（UCV）就懼怕，說：「這地方何等可畏！這不是別的，乃是　神的殿，也是天的門。」

創28:17（NCV）他就懼怕起來，說：「這地方多麼可畏啊！這不是別的地方，而是　神的殿，是天的門。」

創28:17（CLV）這地方真是神聖的啊！這裡原來不是別的地方，是上帝的家，也是天的門啊！」

Genesis 28:17（KJV）And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

Genesis 28:17（NIV）He was afraid and said, "How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven."

創28:18（UCV）【雅各許願】雅各清早起來，把所枕的石頭立作柱子，澆油在上面。

創28:18（NCV）【雅各許願】雅各清早起來，把他曾經放在頭底下作枕頭的那塊石頭，立作柱子，在柱上澆了油。

Genesis 28:18（KJV）And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

Genesis 28:18（NIV） Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it.

創28:19（UCV）他就給那地方起名叫伯特利〔『伯特利』就是『　神殿』的意思〕，但那地方起先名叫路斯。

Genesis 28:19（KJV）And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.

Genesis 28:20（KJV）And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,

Genesis 28:20（NIV）Then Jacob made a vow, saying, "If God will be with me and will watch over me on this journey I am taking and will give me food to eat and clothes to wear

創28:21（UCV）使我平平安安地回到我父親的家，我就必以耶和華為我的　神。
