Genesis 34:1（KJV）And Dinah the daughter of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob, went out to see the daughters of the land.

Genesis 34:3（KJV）And his soul clave unto Dinah the daughter of Jacob, and he loved the damsel, and spake kindly unto the damsel.

Genesis 34:5（NIV）When Jacob heard that his daughter Dinah had been defiled, his sons were in the fields with his livestock; so he kept quiet about it until they came home.

創34:7（NCV）雅各的兒子聽見了這事，就從田間回來；各人都感到非常悲痛，和忿怒，因為示劍在以色列中作了醜事，就是把雅各的女兒姦污了，這是不應該作的。

Genesis 34:7（KJV）And the sons of Jacob came out of the field when they heard it: and the men were grieved, and they were very wroth, because he had wrought folly in Israel in lying with Jacob's daughter; which thing ought not to be done.

Genesis 34:7（NIV）Now Jacob's sons had come in from the fields as soon as they heard what had happened. They were filled with grief and fury, because Shechem had done a disgraceful thing in Israel by lying with Jacob's daughter--a thing that should not be done.

創34:8（UCV）哈抹和他們商議說：「我兒子示劍的心戀慕這女子，求你們將她給我的兒子為妻。

Genesis 34:8（KJV）And Hamor communed with them, saying, The soul of my son Shechem longeth for your daughter: I pray you give her him to wife.

Genesis 34:8（NIV）But Hamor said to them, "My son Shechem has his heart set on your daughter. Please give her to him as his wife.

創34:9（UCV）你們與我們彼此結親；你們可以把女兒給我們，也可以娶我們的女兒。

Genesis 34:10（KJV）And ye shall dwell with us: and the land shall be before you; dwell and trade ye therein, and get you possessions therein.

Genesis 34:10（NIV）You can settle among us; the land is open to you. Live in it, trade in it, and acquire property in it."

Genesis 34:11（KJV）And Shechem said unto her father and unto her brethren, Let me find grace in your eyes, and what ye shall say unto me I will give.

Genesis 34:11（NIV）Then Shechem said to Dinah's father and brothers, "Let me find favor in your eyes, and I will give you whatever you ask.

創34:12（UCV）任憑向我要多重的聘金和，禮物，我必照你們所說的給你們；只要把女子給我為妻。」

Genesis 34:12（KJV）Ask me never so much dowry and gift, and I will give according as ye shall say unto me: but give me the damsel to wife.

Genesis 34:12（NIV）Make the price for the bride and the gift I am to bring as great as you like, and I'll pay whatever you ask me. Only give me the girl as my wife."

Genesis 34:13（KJV）And the sons of Jacob answered Shechem and Hamor his father deceitfully, and said, because he had defiled Dinah their sister:

Genesis 34:13（NIV）Because their sister Dinah had been defiled, Jacob's sons replied deceitfully as they spoke to Shechem and his father Hamor.

創34:14（UCV）對他們說：「我們不能把我們的妹子給沒有受割禮的人為妻，因為那是我們的羞辱。

Genesis 34:14（KJV）And they said unto them, We cannot do this thing, to give our sister to one that is uncircumcised; for that were a reproach unto us:

Genesis 34:14（NIV）They said to them, "We can't do such a thing; we can't give our sister to a man who is not circumcised. That would be a disgrace to us.

創34:15（UCV）惟有一件才可以應允；若你們所有的男丁都受割禮，和我們一樣，

創34:15（NCV）只有一個條件，我們才可以答允你們，就是你們當中所有的男子都受割禮，像我們一樣。

創34:15（CLV）但是，如果你們所有的男子都跟我們一樣受割禮，我們就答應和你們通婚，共同生活，結合成一個民族。

Genesis 34:15（KJV）But in this will we consent unto you: If ye will be as we be, that every male of you be circumcised;

Genesis 34:15（NIV）We will give our consent to you on one condition only: that you become like us by circumcising all your males.

創34:16（UCV）我們就把女兒給你們，也娶你們的女兒；我們便與你們同住，兩下成為一樣的人民。

Genesis 34:16（KJV）Then will we give our daughters unto you, and we will take your daughters to us, and we will dwell with you, and we will become one people.

Genesis 34:17（KJV）But if ye will not hearken unto us, to be circumcised; then will we take our daughter, and we will be gone.

Genesis 34:17（NIV）But if you will not agree to be circumcised, we'll take our sister and go."

創34:18（UCV）哈抹和他的兒子示劍喜歡這話。

創34:18（NCV）哈抹和他兒子示劍覺得他們的提議很好。

Genesis 34:18（KJV）And their words pleased Hamor, and Shechem Hamor's son.

Genesis 34:18（NIV）Their proposal seemed good to Hamor and his son Shechem.

創34:19（UCV）那少年人作這事並不遲延，因為他喜愛雅各的女兒；他在他父親家中也是人最尊重的。

創34:19（NCV）那少年就立刻照著去作，因為他喜愛雅各的女兒；他在他父親的全家中又是最受尊敬的。

創34:19（CLV）示劍還馬上照他們所提出的條件去做，因為他實在深愛底拿。在哈抹家族當中，示劍是最受人尊重的一個。

Genesis 34:19（KJV）And the young man deferred not to do the thing, because he had delight in Jacob's daughter: and he was more honourable than all the house of his father.

Genesis 34:19（NIV）The young man, who was the most honored of all his father's household, lost no time in doing what they said, because he was delighted with Jacob's daughter.

創34:20（UCV）哈抹和他兒子示劍到本城的門口，對本城的人說：

Genesis 34:20（KJV）And Hamor and Shechem his son came unto the gate of their city, and communed with the men of their city, saying,

Genesis 34:20（NIV）So Hamor and his son Shechem went to the gate of their city to speak to their fellow townsmen.

創34:21（UCV）「這些人與我們和睦，不如許他們在這地居住，作買賣；這地也寬闊，足可容下他們。我們可以娶他們的女兒為妻，也可以把我們的女兒嫁給他們。

創34:21（NCV）「這些人與我們和平相處，不如讓他們在這地居住，來住作買賣吧。這地兩邊都很寬闊，可以容納他們；我們可以娶他們的女兒為妻，也可以把我們的女兒嫁給他們。

Genesis 34:21（KJV）These men are peaceable with us; therefore let them dwell in the land, and trade therein; for the land, behold, it is large enough for them; let us take their daughters to us for wives, and let us give them our daughters.

Genesis 34:21（NIV）"These men are friendly toward us," they said. "Let them live in our land and trade in it; the land has plenty of room for them. We can marry their daughters and they can marry ours.

創34:22（UCV）惟有一件事我們必須作，他們才肯應允和我們同住，成為一樣的人民，就是我們中間所有的男丁，都要受割禮，和他們一樣。

創34:22（NCV）但是只有一個條件，這些人才應允與我們同住，大家成為一族人，就是我們中間所有的男子都受割禮，好像他們受了割禮一樣。

Genesis 34:22（KJV）Only herein will the men consent unto us for to dwell with us, to be one people, if every male among us be circumcised, as they are circumcised.

Genesis 34:22（NIV）But the men will consent to live with us as one people only on the condition that our males be circumcised, as they themselves are.

創34:23（UCV）他們的群畜、貨財，和一切的牲口，豈不都歸我們嗎？只要依從他們，他們就與我們同住。」

創34:23（NCV）這樣他們的群畜、財產，和所有的牲口，不都要歸我們所有嗎﹖只要我們應允他們的條件，他們就與我們同住了。」

Genesis 34:23（KJV）Shall not their cattle and their substance and every beast of theirs be ours? only let us consent unto them, and they will dwell with us.

Genesis 34:23（NIV）Won't their livestock, their property and all their other animals become ours? So let us give our consent to them, and they will settle among us."

創34:24（UCV）凡從城門出入的人，就都聽從哈抹和他兒子示劍的話，於是凡從城門出入的男丁都受了割禮。

創34:24（NCV）所有從城門出入的人，都聽從了哈抹，和他兒子示劍的話。於是，所有從城門出入的男子，都受了割禮。

Genesis 34:24（KJV）And unto Hamor and unto Shechem his son hearkened all that went out of the gate of his city; and every male was circumcised, all that went out of the gate of his city.

Genesis 34:24（NIV）All the men who went out of the city gate agreed with Hamor and his son Shechem, and every male in the city was circumcised.

創34:25（UCV）到第三天，眾人正在疼痛的時候，雅各的兩個兒子，就是底拿的哥哥西緬和利未，各拿刀劍，趁著眾人想不到的時候，來到城中，把一切男丁都殺了。

Genesis 34:25（KJV）And it came to pass on the third day, when they were sore, that two of the sons of Jacob, Simeon and Levi, Dinah's brethren, took each man his sword, and came upon the city boldly, and slew all the males.

Genesis 34:25（NIV）Three days later, while all of them were still in pain, two of Jacob's sons, Simeon and Levi, Dinah's brothers, took their swords and attacked the unsuspecting city, killing every male.

Genesis 34:29（KJV）And all their wealth, and all their little ones, and their wives took they captive, and spoiled even all that was in the house.

Genesis 34:29（NIV）They carried off all their wealth and all their women and children, taking as plunder everything in the houses.

創34:30（UCV）雅各對西緬和利未說：「你們連累我，使我在這地的居民中，就是在迦南人，和比利洗人中，有了臭名。我的人丁既然稀少，他們必聚集來擊殺我，我和全家的人都必滅絕。」

創34:30（CLV）這事以後，雅各就責備西緬和利未說：「你們為甚麼要給我帶來麻煩，使我在迦南人和比利洗人中留下臭名呢？我們的人數稀少，要是他們聯手來攻擊我們，豈不就把我們消滅淨盡嗎？」

Genesis 34:30（KJV）And Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, Ye have troubled me to make me to stink among the inhabitants of the land, among the Canaanites and the Perizzites: and I being few in number, they shall gather themselves together against me, and slay me; and I shall be destroyed, I and my house.

Genesis 34:30（NIV）Then Jacob said to Simeon and Levi, "You have brought trouble on me by making me a stench to the Canaanites and Perizzites, the people living in this land. We are few in number, and if they join forces against me and attack me, I and my household will be destroyed."

創34:31（UCV）他們說：「他豈可待我們的妹子如同妓女嗎？」

創34:31（NCV）他們回答說：「他怎可以待我們的妹妺好像妓女一樣呢﹖」

創34:31（CLV）但他們反問父親說：「難道就讓他把我們的妹妹當作妓女一樣看待嗎？」

Genesis 34:31（KJV）And they said, Should he deal with our sister as with an harlot?

Genesis 34:31（NIV）But they replied, "Should he have treated our sister like a prostitute?"
