創40:1（UCV）【酒政和膳長同夜得夢】這事以後，埃及王的酒政，和膳長得罪了他們的主埃及王，

創40:1（NCV）【酒政與膳長各得一夢】這些事以後，埃及王的酒政和膳長，得罪了他們的主人埃及王。

創40:1（CLV）後來，埃及王的侍酒總管和膳食總管得罪了埃及王，埃及王非常憤怒，就把他們囚禁在護衛長波提乏府第中的監牢裡面，也就是約瑟被囚的地方。

Genesis 40:1（KJV）And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker had offended their lord the king of Egypt.

Genesis 40:5（KJV）And they dreamed a dream both of them, each man his dream in one night, each man according to the interpretation of his dream, the butler and the baker of the king of Egypt, which were bound in the prison.

Genesis 40:5（NIV）each of the two men--the cupbearer and the baker of the king of Egypt, who were being held in prison--had a dream the same night, and each dream had a meaning of its own.

創40:6（UCV）到了早晨，約瑟進到他們那裡，見他們有愁悶的樣子。

Genesis 40:7（KJV）And he asked Pharaoh's officers that were with him in the ward of his lord's house, saying, Wherefore look ye so sadly to day?

Genesis 40:7（NIV）So he asked Pharaoh's officials who were in custody with him in his master's house, "Why are your faces so sad today?"

創40:8（UCV）他們對他說：「我們各人作了一夢，沒有人能解。」約瑟說：「解夢不是出於　神麼？請你們將夢告訴我。」

創40:8（NCV）他們回答他：「我們各人作了一個夢，但沒有人能夠解釋。」約瑟對他們說：「解夢不是出於　神嗎﹖請把夢告訴我吧。」

創40:8（CLV）他們回答說：「我們各人做了一個夢，可是卻沒有人給我們解夢。」「夢是由上帝來解釋的。」約瑟就請他們把夢告訴他。

Genesis 40:8（KJV）And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.

Genesis 40:8（NIV）"We both had dreams," they answered, "but there is no one to interpret them." Then Joseph said to them, "Do not interpretations belong to God? Tell me your dreams."

創40:9（UCV）【約瑟為酒政解夢】酒政便將他的夢告訴約瑟說：「我夢見在我面前有一棵葡萄樹，

Genesis 40:9（KJV）And the chief butler told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, In my dream, behold, a vine was before me;

Genesis 40:9（NIV）So the chief cupbearer told Joseph his dream. He said to him, "In my dream I saw a vine in front of me,

Genesis 40:11（KJV）And Pharaoh's cup was in my hand: and I took the grapes, and pressed them into Pharaoh's cup, and I gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand.

Genesis 40:11（NIV）Pharaoh's cup was in my hand, and I took the grapes, squeezed them into Pharaoh's cup and put the cup in his hand."

創40:12（UCV）約瑟對他說：「你所作的夢是這樣解：三根枝子，就是三天；

Genesis 40:12（KJV）And Joseph said unto him, This is the interpretation of it: The three branches are three days:

Genesis 40:12（NIV）"This is what it means," Joseph said to him. "The three branches are three days.

創40:13（UCV）三天之內，法老必提你出監，叫你官復原職，你仍要遞杯在法老的手中，和先前作他的酒政一樣。

創40:13（NCV）三天之內，法老必使你抬起頭來，恢復你原來的職位；你仍要把杯遞在法老的手裡，好像先前作他的酒政時一樣。

創40:13（CLV）在三天之內，法老必定釋放你，恢復你侍酒總管的官職。

Genesis 40:13（KJV）Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place: and thou shalt deliver Pharaoh's cup into his hand, after the former manner when thou wast his butler.

Genesis 40:13（NIV）Within three days Pharaoh will lift up your head and restore you to your position, and you will put Pharaoh's cup in his hand, just as you used to do when you were his cupbearer.

創40:14（UCV）但你得好處的時候，求你記念我，施恩與我，在法老面前提說我，救我出這監牢。

創40:14（NCV）不過，你一切順利的時候，求你記念我，施恩給我，在法老面前提拔我，救我脫離這監獄。

Genesis 40:14（KJV）But think on me when it shall be well with thee, and shew kindness, I pray thee, unto me, and make mention of me unto Pharaoh, and bring me out of this house:

Genesis 40:14（NIV）But when all goes well with you, remember me and show me kindness; mention me to Pharaoh and get me out of this prison.

Genesis 40:15（KJV）For indeed I was stolen away out of the land of the Hebrews: and here also have I done nothing that they should put me into the dungeon.

創40:16（UCV）【約瑟為膳長解夢】膳長見夢解得好，就對約瑟說：「我在夢中見我頭上頂著三筐白餅；

Genesis 40:16（KJV）When the chief baker saw that the interpretation was good, he said unto Joseph, I also was in my dream, and, behold, I had three white baskets on my head:

Genesis 40:16（NIV）When the chief baker saw that Joseph had given a favorable interpretation, he said to Joseph, "I too had a dream: On my head were three baskets of bread.

創40:17（UCV）極上的筐子裡，有為法老烤的各樣食物，有飛鳥來吃我頭上筐子裡的食物。」

Genesis 40:17（KJV）And in the uppermost basket there was of all manner of bakemeats for Pharaoh; and the birds did eat them out of the basket upon my head.

創40:18（UCV）約瑟說：「你的夢是這樣解：三個筐子，就是三天；

Genesis 40:18（KJV）And Joseph answered and said, This is the interpretation thereof: The three baskets are three days:

創40:19（UCV）三天之內，法老必斬斷你的頭，把你挂在木頭上，必有飛鳥來吃你身上的肉。」

Genesis 40:19（KJV）Yet within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thy head from off thee, and shall hang thee on a tree; and the birds shall eat thy flesh from off thee.

Genesis 40:20（KJV）And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh's birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants.

Genesis 40:20（NIV）Now the third day was Pharaoh's birthday, and he gave a feast for all his officials. He lifted up the heads of the chief cupbearer and the chief baker in the presence of his officials:

創40:21（UCV）使酒政官復原職，他仍舊遞杯在法老手中，

創40:21（NCV）恢復了酒政原來的職位，叫他可以把杯遞在法老的手中；

Genesis 40:21（KJV）And he restored the chief butler unto his butlership again; and he gave the cup into Pharaoh's hand:

創40:22（UCV）但把膳長掛起來，正如約瑟向他們所解的話。

創40:23（UCV）酒政卻不記念約瑟，竟忘了他。

創40:23（NCV）但是酒政並不記念約瑟，竟把他忘記了。

創40:23（CLV）可是，法老的侍酒總管卻一下子就把約瑟忘掉了。

Genesis 40:23（KJV）Yet did not the chief butler remember Joseph, but forgat him.

Genesis 40:23（NIV）The chief cupbearer, however, did not remember Joseph; he forgot him.
