Exodus 1:9（KJV）And he said unto his people, Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we:

Exodus 1:9（NIV）"Look," he said to his people, "the Israelites have become much too numerous for us.

出1:10（UCV）來吧！我們不如用巧計待他們，恐怕他們多起來，日後若遇甚麼爭戰的事，就聯合我們的仇敵攻擊我們，離開這地去了。

出1:10（NCV）來吧！我們要用巧計對付他們，恐怕他們增多起來，一旦發生戰爭，他們就與我們的仇敵聯合，攻擊我們，並且離開這地。」

出1:10（CLV）我們一定要小心計劃一下，阻止他們的增長，不然，一旦發生戰事，他們就會聯同敵人來攻打我們，然後一走了之。」

Exodus 1:10（KJV）Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.

Exodus 1:10（NIV）Come, we must deal shrewdly with them or they will become even more numerous and, if war breaks out, will join our enemies, fight against us and leave the country."

Exodus 1:11（KJV）Therefore they did set over them taskmasters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses.

Exodus 1:11（NIV）So they put slave masters over them to oppress them with forced labor, and they built Pithom and Rameses as store cities for Pharaoh.

Exodus 1:12（KJV）But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew. And they were grieved because of the children of Israel.

Exodus 1:13（KJV）And the Egyptians made the children of Israel to serve with rigour:

Exodus 1:15（KJV）And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah:

Exodus 1:15（NIV）The king of Egypt said to the Hebrew midwives, whose names were Shiphrah and Puah,

出1:16（UCV）「你們為希伯來婦人收生，看他們臨盆的時候，若是男孩，就把他殺了；若是女孩，就留她存活。」

出1:16（NCV）說：「你們給希伯來婦人接生的時候，要看著她們臨盆；若是男孩，你們要殺死他；若是女孩，她就可以活著。」

出1:16（CLV）在替希伯來婦人接生的時候，如果產下的是男嬰，就要把他們殺掉，如果是女嬰，就讓她生存。

Exodus 1:16（KJV）And he said, When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live.

Exodus 1:16（NIV）"When you help the Hebrew women in childbirth and observe them on the delivery stool, if it is a boy, kill him; but if it is a girl, let her live."

出1:17（UCV）但是收生婆敬畏　神，不照埃及王的吩咐行，竟存留男孩的性命。

Exodus 1:17（KJV）But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive.

Exodus 1:17（NIV）The midwives, however, feared God and did not do what the king of Egypt had told them to do; they let the boys live.

出1:18（UCV）埃及王召了收生婆來，說：「你們為甚麼作這事，存留男孩的性命呢？」

出1:18（NCV）於是，埃及王把接生婦叫了來，對她們說：「你們為甚麼作這事，讓男孩活著呢﹖」

出1:18（CLV）埃及王就召見那兩個婦人，質問她們為甚麼保存男嬰的性命。

Exodus 1:18（KJV）And the king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said unto them, Why have ye done this thing, and have saved the men children alive?

Exodus 1:18（NIV）Then the king of Egypt summoned the midwives and asked them, "Why have you done this? Why have you let the boys live?"

出1:19（UCV）收生婆對法老說：「因為希伯來婦人與埃及婦人不同；希伯來婦人本是健壯的〔原文作『活潑的』〕，收生婆還沒有到，她們已經生產了。」

出1:19（NCV）接生婦回答法老：「希伯來婦人與埃及婦人不同；她們很有活力，接生婦還沒有來到，她們已經生產了。」

出1:19（CLV）她們回答說：「因為希伯來婦人跟埃及婦人不同。她們身體強健，我們還沒有趕到，她們已經產下嬰兒了。」

Exodus 1:19（KJV）And the midwives said unto Pharaoh, Because the Hebrew women are not as the Egyptian women; for they are lively, and are delivered ere the midwives come in unto them.

Exodus 1:19（NIV）The midwives answered Pharaoh, "Hebrew women are not like Egyptian women; they are vigorous and give birth before the midwives arrive."

出1:20（UCV）　神厚待收生婆。以色列人多起來，極其強盛。

出1:20（NCV）　神恩待接生婦；以色列民增多起來，而且非常強盛。

出1:20（CLV）因此，上帝賜福給這兩個接生婦人，使他們家裡人丁旺盛。以色列人口也就繼續激增，非常繁盛。

Exodus 1:20（KJV）Therefore God dealt well with the midwives: and the people multiplied, and waxed very mighty.

Exodus 1:20（NIV）So God was kind to the midwives and the people increased and became even more numerous.

出1:22（NCV）法老吩咐他的眾民說：「凡是希伯來人所生的男孩，你們都要把他投在河裏；凡是女孩，就讓她活著。」

出1:22（CLV）最後，法老只好命令埃及人把所有以色列的男嬰拋進河裡，只有女嬰可以繼續生存。

Exodus 1:22（KJV）And Pharaoh charged all his people, saying, Every son that is born ye shall cast into the river, and every daughter ye shall save alive.

Exodus 1:22（NIV）Then Pharaoh gave this order to all his people: "Every boy that is born you must throw into the Nile, but let every girl live."
