出5:1（NCV）【摩西和亞倫首次見法老】後來，摩西和亞倫去對法老說：「耶和華以色列的　神這樣說： 『讓我的人民離開這裏，叫他們可以在曠野向我守節。』」

出5:1（CLV）摩西和亞倫向長老們陳述完了以後，便去見法老，對他說：「以色列的主上帝有信息要我們帶給你。祂說： 『讓我的子民到荒野去守節敬拜我。』」

Exodus 5:1（KJV）And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel,Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

Exodus 5:1（NIV）【Bricks Without Straw】Afterward Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says:'Let my people go, so that they may hold a festival to me in the desert.'"

Exodus 5:2（KJV）And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.

Exodus 5:2（NIV）Pharaoh said, "Who is the LORD, that I should obey him and let Israel go? I do not know the LORD and I will not let Israel go."

出5:3（UCV）他們說：「希伯來人的　神遇見了我們，求你容我們往曠野去，走三天的路程，祭祀耶和華我們的　神，免得祂用瘟疫、刀兵攻擊我們。」

出5:3（NCV）他們說：「希伯來人的　神遇見了我們；求你讓我們走三天的路程到曠野去，獻祭給耶和華我們的　神，免得祂用瘟疫或刀劍擊殺我們。」

出5:3（CLV）但摩西和亞倫卻堅持說：「希伯來人的上帝向我們顯現，要我們走三天的路程，到荒野去敬拜祂，請你讓我們去吧，免得祂用刀劍瘟疫來打擊我們啊。」

Exodus 5:3（KJV）And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.

Exodus 5:3（NIV）Then they said, "The God of the Hebrews has met with us. Now let us take a three-day journey into the desert to offer sacrifices to the LORD our God, or he may strike us with plagues or with the sword."

出5:4（UCV）埃及王對他們說：「摩西、亞倫！你們為甚麼叫百姓曠工呢？你們去擔你們的擔子吧！」

出5:4（NCV）埃及王對他們說：「摩西、亞倫哪！你們為甚麼使人民懶惰不作工呢﹖去挑你們的擔子吧。」

出5:4（CLV）法老咆哮著說：「你們憑甚麼來煽動群眾擅離職守？快滾回去做工！你們的人數眾多，你們不做工，我怎麼辦呢？」

Exodus 5:4（KJV）And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.

Exodus 5:4（NIV）But the king of Egypt said, "Moses and Aaron, why are you taking the people away from their labor? Get back to your work!"

出5:5（UCV）又說：「看哪！這地的以色列人如今眾多，你們竟叫他們歇下擔子。」

Exodus 5:5（KJV）And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.

Exodus 5:5（NIV）Then Pharaoh said, "Look, the people of the land are now numerous, and you are stopping them from working."

Exodus 5:6（KJV）And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,

Exodus 5:7（KJV）Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.

Exodus 5:7（NIV）"You are no longer to supply the people with straw for making bricks; let them go and gather their own straw.

出5:8（UCV）他們素常作磚的數目，你們仍舊向他們要，一點不可減少；因為他們是懶惰的，所以呼求說：『容我們去祭祀我們的　神。』

出5:8（NCV）他們往日做磚的數量，你們還是向他們要，一點木不可減少，因為他們是懶惰的，所以他們才呼喊說：『讓我們去獻祭給我們的　神。』

出5:8（CLV）但磚的數量，卻一點也不可少收。因為他們最喜歡偷懶，所以才嚷著要去獻祭給他們的上帝。

Exodus 5:8（KJV）And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.

Exodus 5:8（NIV）But require them to make the same number of bricks as before; don't reduce the quota. They are lazy; that is why they are crying out, 'Let us go and sacrifice to our God.'

出5:9（UCV）你們要把更重的工夫，加在這些人身上，叫他們勞碌，不聽虛謊的言語。」

出5:9（NCV）你們要把更重的工作加在這些人的身上，好使他們專心工作，不聽謊言。」

Exodus 5:10（KJV）And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.

Exodus 5:10（NIV）Then the slave drivers and the foremen went out and said to the people, "This is what Pharaoh says: 'I will not give you any more straw.

出5:11（UCV）你們自己在那裡能找草，就往那裡去找吧！但你們的工一點不可減少。』」

出5:12（UCV）於是百姓散在埃及遍地，撿碎秸當作草。

Exodus 5:12（KJV）So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.

出5:13（UCV）督工的催著說：「你們一天當完一天的工，與先前有草一樣。」

出5:13（NCV）督工們催著說：「你們的工作，每天的本分，要在當天完成，像以前有草的時候一樣。」

出5:13（CLV）可是，監督的卻不斷催逼他們說：「你們快些按著每天的定額，像從前一樣交出磚來。」

Exodus 5:13（KJV）And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.

Exodus 5:13（NIV）The slave drivers kept pressing them, saying, "Complete the work required of you for each day, just as when you had straw."

出5:14（UCV）法老督工的責打他所派以色列人的官長，說：「你們昨天、今天為甚麼沒有照向來的數目作磚，完你們的工作呢？」

出5:14（NCV）法老的督工責打他們派定的以色列人的首領，說：「你們昨天今天為甚麼沒有做完指定要你們做的磚，像住日一樣呢﹖」

出5:14（CLV）他們又鞭打當管工的以色列人，大聲咆哮說：「為甚麼你們這兩天都不依數交磚？」

Exodus 5:14（KJV）And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?

Exodus 5:14（NIV）The Israelite foremen appointed by Pharaoh's slave drivers were beaten and were asked, "Why didn't you meet your quota of bricks yesterday or today, as before?"

出5:15（UCV）以色列人的官長就來哀求法老說：「為甚麼這樣待你的僕人？」

出5:15（NCV）以色列人的首領就來，向法老呼求說：「你為甚麼這樣待你的僕人呢﹖

Exodus 5:15（KJV）Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants?

Exodus 5:15（NIV）Then the Israelite foremen went and appealed to Pharaoh: "Why have you treated your servants this way?

出5:16（UCV）督工的不把草給僕人，並且對我們說：『作磚吧！』看哪！你僕人挨了打，其實是你百姓的錯。」

出5:16（NCV）沒有草給你的僕人，但他們對我們說：『你們做磚吧！』看哪，你的僕人受了責打，其實這是你自己人民的錯。」

出5:16（CLV）我們不能交足數量，實在不是我們的錯啊！這是因為監督的不給我們稻草，要我們自己去找，才會這樣的。陛下責怪的應該是他們啊！」

Exodus 5:16（KJV）There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people.

Exodus 5:16（NIV）Your servants are given no straw, yet we are told, 'Make bricks!' Your servants are being beaten, but the fault is with your own people."

出5:17（UCV）但法老說：「你們是懶惰的！你們是懶惰的！所以說：『容我們去祭祀耶和華。』

出5:17（NCV）法老說：「你們的確是懶惰的，所以你們才說：『讓我們去獻祭給耶和華。』

出5:17（CLV）法老卻是蠻不講理，他說：「滾出去繼續工作吧！我不再供應稻草給你們，卻要你們交足數量，是因為你們實在是太懶散了，現在看你們還要不要嚷著去獻祭給上帝！」

Exodus 5:17（KJV）But he said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD.

Exodus 5:17（NIV）Pharaoh said, "Lazy, that's what you are--lazy! That is why you keep saying, 'Let us go and sacrifice to the LORD.'

出5:18（UCV）現在你們去作工吧！草是不給你們的，磚卻要如數交納。」

出5:18（NCV）現在你們去作工吧；草是不給你們的，磚卻要如數交上。」

Exodus 5:18（KJV）Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.

Exodus 5:18（NIV）Now get to work. You will not be given any straw, yet you must produce your full quota of bricks."

出5:19（UCV）以色列人的官長聽說『你們每天作磚的工作一點不可減少』，就知道是遭遇禍患了。

Exodus 5:19（KJV）And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task.

Exodus 5:19（NIV）The Israelite foremen realized they were in trouble when they were told, "You are not to reduce the number of bricks required of you for each day."

出5:21（UCV）就向他們說：「願耶和華鑒察你們，施行判斷；因你們使我們在法老和他臣僕面前有了臭名，把刀遞在他們手中殺我們。」

出5:21（NCV）就對他們說：「願耶和華鑒察你們，審判你們，因為你們使我們的香氣在法老眼前和他的臣僕眼前都發臭了，把刀放在他們的手裏來殺我們。」

出5:21（CLV）便埋怨他們說：「你們弄得法老和他的大臣憎惡我們，使他們有藉口來殺我們，願上帝處罰你們！」

Exodus 5:21（KJV）And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.

Exodus 5:21（NIV）and they said, "May the LORD look upon you and judge you! You have made us a stench to Pharaoh and his officials and have put a sword in their hand to kill us."

出5:22（UCV）摩西回到耶和華那裡說：「主啊！你為甚麼苦待這百姓呢？為甚麼打發我去呢？

出5:22（NCV）摩西回到耶和華那裏，說：「主啊！你為甚麼苦待這人民呢﹖為甚麼差派我呢﹖

出5:22（CLV）於是，摩西便對上帝說：「主啊！你為甚麼這樣對待你的子民呢？為甚麼要派我去呢？

Exodus 5:22（KJV）And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, LORD, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me?

Exodus 5:22（NIV）【God Promises Deliverance】Moses returned to the LORD and said, "O Lord, why have you brought trouble upon this people? Is this why you sent me?

出5:23（UCV）自從我去見法老，奉你的名說話，他就苦待這百姓，你一點也沒有拯救他們。」

出5:23（NCV）自從我到法老那裏，奉你的名說話以來，他就苦待這人民，你一點也沒有拯救你自己的人民。」

Exodus 5:23（KJV）For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.

Exodus 5:23（NIV）Ever since I went to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has brought trouble upon this people, and you have not rescued your people at all."
