Numbers 16:1（KJV）Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, and Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took men:

民16:2（UCV）並以色列會中的二百五十個首領，就是有名望選入會中的人，在摩西面前一同起來，

Numbers 16:2（KJV）And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:

Numbers 16:2（NIV）and rose up against Moses. With them were 250 Israelite men, well-known community leaders who had been appointed members of the council.

民16:3（UCV）聚集攻擊摩西、亞倫，說：「你們擅自專權！全會眾個個既是聖潔，耶和華也在他們中間，你們為甚麼自高，超過耶和華的會眾呢？」

民16:3（NCV）他們聚集起來反抗摩西和亞倫，對他們說：「你們太過過份了，全體會眾個個都是聖潔，耶和華也在他們中間，你們為甚麼高抬自己，超過耶和華的會眾呢﹖」

民16:3（CLV）他們聯合起來，攻擊摩西和亞倫，說：「你們獨攬大權，我們已經忍受夠了。既然我們每一個都是聖潔的，主又住在我們當中，你們憑甚麼抬高自己，把自己升高在主的全體會眾之上呢？」

Numbers 16:3（KJV）And they gathered themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said unto them, Ye take too much upon you, seeing all the congregation are holy, every one of them, and the LORD is among them: wherefore then lift ye up yourselves above the congregation of the LORD?

Numbers 16:3（NIV）They came as a group to oppose Moses and Aaron and said to them, "You have gone too far! The whole community is holy, every one of them, and the LORD is with them. Why then do you set yourselves above the LORD'S assembly?"

Numbers 16:5（KJV）And he spake unto Korah and unto all his company, saying, Even to morrow the LORD will shew who are his, and who is holy; and will cause him to come near unto him: even him whom he hath chosen will he cause to come near unto him.

Numbers 16:5（NIV）Then he said to Korah and all his followers: "In the morning the LORD will show who belongs to him and who is holy, and he will have that person come near him. The man he chooses he will cause to come near him.

民16:6（UCV）可拉啊！你們要這樣行：你和你的一黨，要拿香爐來。

民16:6（NCV）你們要這樣作：可拉和你的同黨，你們要拿香爐來；

民16:6（CLV）可拉啊，明天你和你那一夥人拿著香爐來，

Numbers 16:6（KJV）This do; Take you censers, Korah, and all his company;

民16:7（UCV）明日在耶和華面前，把火盛在爐中，把香放在其上。耶和華揀選誰，誰就為聖潔。你們這利未的子孫擅自專權了！」

民16:7（NCV）明日你們要在耶和華面前，把火盛在爐中，把香放在上面；耶和華揀選誰，誰就是聖潔的，你們利未人太過分了。」

民16:7（CLV）在主面前點火添香。主揀選誰，誰就是聖潔的。你們這些利未的子孫也實在是太放肆了！」

Numbers 16:7（KJV）And put fire therein, and put incense in them before the LORD to morrow: and it shall be that the man whom the LORD doth choose, he shall be holy: ye take too much upon you, ye sons of Levi.

Numbers 16:7（NIV）and tomorrow put fire and incense in them before the LORD. The man the LORD chooses will be the one who is holy. You Levites have gone too far!"

民16:8（UCV）摩西又對可拉說：「利未的子孫哪，你們聽我說。

Numbers 16:8（KJV）And Moses said unto Korah, Hear, I pray you, ye sons of Levi:

民16:9（UCV）以色列的　神從以色列會中將你們分別出來，使你們親近祂，辦耶和華帳幕的事，並站在會眾面前替他們當差。

Numbers 16:9（KJV）Seemeth it but a small thing unto you, that the God of Israel hath separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself to do the service of the tabernacle of the LORD, and to stand before the congregation to minister unto them?

Numbers 16:9（NIV）Isn't it enough for you that the God of Israel has separated you from the rest of the Israelite community and brought you near himself to do the work at the LORD'S tabernacle and to stand before the community and minister to them?

民16:10（UCV）耶和華又使你，和你一切弟兄利未的子孫一同親近祂，這豈為小事？你們還要求祭司的職任麼？

民16:10（NCV）耶和華又使你和你所有的兄弟，就是利未的子孫，一同親近祂，這在你們看來是小事嗎﹖你們還要尋求祭司職分嗎﹖

民16:10（CLV）可拉啊，主又使你和你所有的弟兄、利未的子孫，都能夠親近祂，你們還不滿足，還要貪求祭司的職分嗎？

Numbers 16:10（KJV）And he hath brought thee near to him, and all thy brethren the sons of Levi with thee: and seek ye the priesthood also?

Numbers 16:10（NIV）He has brought you and all your fellow Levites near himself, but now you are trying to get the priesthood too.

民16:11（UCV）你和你一黨的人聚集，是要攻擊耶和華。亞倫算甚麼？你們竟向他發怨言呢？」

民16:11（NCV）所以你和你的同黨聚集起來反抗耶和華；亞倫算甚麼呢﹖你們竟向他發怨言。」

民16:11（CLV）你們指責亞倫是為了甚麼呢？他算甚麼呢？其實，你和你那夥人共同反抗的是主自己啊！」

Numbers 16:11（KJV）For which cause both thou and all thy company are gathered together against the LORD: and what is Aaron, that ye murmur against him?

Numbers 16:11（NIV）It is against the LORD that you and all your followers have banded together. Who is Aaron that you should grumble against him?"

民16:12（UCV）摩西打發人去召以利押的兒子大坍、亞比蘭。他們說：「我們不上去！

Numbers 16:12（KJV）And Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab: which said, We will not come up:

Numbers 16:12（NIV）Then Moses summoned Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab. But they said, "We will not come!

民16:13（UCV）你將我們從流奶與密之地領上來，要在曠野殺我們，這豈為小事？你還要自立為王轄管我們嗎？

民16:13（CLV）你把我們從那到處都是奶和蜜的埃及地領出來，想把我們害死在荒野，這還不夠嗎？你還想稱王稱霸來轄制我們嗎？

Numbers 16:13（KJV）Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a land that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us?

Numbers 16:13（NIV）Isn't it enough that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey to kill us in the desert? And now you also want to lord it over us?

民16:14（UCV）並且你沒有將我們領到流奶與蜜之地，也沒有把田地和葡萄園給我們為業。難道你要剜這些人的眼睛麼？我們不上去！」

民16:14（NCV）況且你沒有把我們領到流奶與蜜的地，也沒有把田地和葡萄園給我們作產業。難道你要把這些人的眼睛剜出來嗎﹖我們不上去。」

Numbers 16:14（KJV）Moreover thou hast not brought us into a land that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up.

Numbers 16:14（NIV）Moreover, you haven't brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey or given us an inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you gouge out the eyes of these men? No, we will not come!"

民16:15（UCV）摩西就甚發怒，對耶和華說：「求你不要享受他們的供物，我並沒有奪過他們一匹驢，也沒有害過他們一個人。」

民16:15（NCV）於是摩西大怒，對耶和華說：「求你不要悅納他們的禮物，我沒有奪過他們一頭驢，也沒有害過他們一個人。」

民16:15（CLV）摩西非常憤怒，就對主說：「求你不要接納他們的祭物。我沒有取過他們一匹驢，更沒有害過他們任何一個人。」

Numbers 16:15（KJV）And Moses was very wroth, and said unto the LORD, Respect not thou their offering: I have not taken one ass from them, neither have I hurt one of them.

Numbers 16:15（NIV）Then Moses became very angry and said to the LORD, "Do not accept their offering. I have not taken so much as a donkey from them, nor have I wronged any of them."

民16:16（UCV）摩西對可拉說：「明天，你和你一黨的人，並亞倫，都要站在耶和華面前。

民16:16（NCV）【他們的刑罰】摩西對可拉說：「明天你和你的同黨，以及亞倫，都要站在耶和華面前。

Numbers 16:16（KJV） And Moses said unto Korah, Be thou and all thy company before the LORD, thou, and they, and Aaron, to morrow:

Numbers 16:16（NIV）Moses said to Korah, "You and all your followers are to appear before the LORD tomorrow--you and they and Aaron.

民16:17（UCV）各人要拿一個香爐，共二百五十個，把香放在上面，到耶和華面前。你和亞倫也各拿自己的香爐。」

民16:17（NCV）你們各人要拿著自己的香爐，把香盛在上面；你們各人要把自己的香爐帶到耶和華面前，共二百五十個香爐；你和亞倫也各人拿著自己的香爐。」

民16:17（CLV）每個人都要拿一隻香爐，放上香，到主面前來。你和亞倫也要各拿一個香爐。」

Numbers 16:17（KJV）And take every man his censer, and put incense in them, and bring ye before the LORD every man his censer, two hundred and fifty censers; thou also, and Aaron, each of you his censer.

Numbers 16:17（NIV）Each man is to take his censer and put incense in it--250 censers in all（NIV）and present it before the LORD. You and Aaron are to present your censers also."

民16:18（UCV）於是他們各人拿一個香爐，盛上火，加上香，同摩西、亞倫站在會幕門前。

Numbers 16:18（KJV）And they took every man his censer, and put fire in them, and laid incense thereon, and stood in the door of the tabernacle of the congregation with Moses and Aaron.

Numbers 16:18（NIV）So each man took his censer, put fire and incense in it, and stood with Moses and Aaron at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

民16:19（UCV）可拉招聚全會眾到會幕門前，要攻擊摩西、亞倫，耶和華的榮光就向全會眾顯現。

Numbers 16:19（KJV）And Korah gathered all the congregation against them unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the congregation.

Numbers 16:19（NIV）When Korah had gathered all his followers in opposition to them at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, the glory of the LORD appeared to the entire assembly.

Numbers 16:20（KJV）And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

民16:22（UCV）摩西、亞倫就俯伏在地說：「　神，萬人之靈的　神阿！一人犯罪，你就要向全會眾發怒麼？

Numbers 16:22（KJV）And they fell upon their faces, and said, O God, the God of the spirits of all flesh, shall one man sin, and wilt thou be wroth with all the congregation?

Numbers 16:22（NIV）But Moses and Aaron fell facedown and cried out, "O God, God of the spirits of all mankind, will you be angry with the entire assembly when only one man sins?"

Numbers 16:25（KJV）And Moses rose up and went unto Dathan and Abiram; and the elders of Israel followed him.

民16:26（UCV）他吩咐會眾說：「你們離開這惡人的帳棚吧！他們的物件，甚麼都不可摸，恐怕你們陷在他們的罪中，與他們一同消滅。」

民16:26（NCV）摩西告訴會眾：「你們要遠離這些惡人的帳幕，凡是他們的東西，你們都不可摸，免得你們因他們的一切罪惡同遭毀滅。」

Numbers 16:26（KJV）And he spake unto the congregation, saying, Depart, I pray you, from the tents of these wicked men, and touch nothing of theirs, lest ye be consumed in all their sins.

Numbers 16:26（NIV） He warned the assembly, "Move back from the tents of these wicked men! Do not touch anything belonging to them, or you will be swept away because of all their sins."

民16:27（UCV）於是眾人離開可拉、大坍、亞比蘭帳棚的四圍。大坍、亞比蘭帶著妻子、兒女、小孩子，都出來，站在自己的帳棚門口。

民16:27（NCV）於是，眾人離開了可拉、大坍、亞比蘭帳幕的四周；大坍、亞比蘭就帶著妻子、兒女、小孩出來，站在自己的帳幕門口。

Numbers 16:27（KJV）So they gat up from the tabernacle of Korah, Dathan, and Abiram, on every side: and Dathan and Abiram came out, and stood in the door of their tents, and their wives, and their sons, and their little children.

Numbers 16:27（NIV）So they moved away from the tents of Korah, Dathan and Abiram. Dathan and Abiram had come out and were standing with their wives, children and little ones at the entrances to their tents.

民16:28（UCV）摩西說：「我行的這一切事，本不是憑我自己心意行的，乃是耶和華打發我行的，必有證據使你們知道。

民16:28（NCV）摩西說：「由此你們可以知道，我作這一切事，是耶和華派我作的，並不是出於我自己的心意。

民16:28（CLV）摩西說：「我所做的事，都不是憑著自己私意做的，而是主派我做的，你們快要看到證據了。

Numbers 16:28（KJV）And Moses said, Hereby ye shall know that the LORD hath sent me to do all these works; for I have not done them of mine own mind.

Numbers 16:28（NIV）Then Moses said, "This is how you will know that the LORD has sent me to do all these things and that it was not my idea:

民16:29（UCV）這些人死，若與世人無異，或是他們所遭的與世人相同，就不是耶和華打發我來的。

民16:29（NCV）如果這些人死亡像一般人死亡一樣，或是他們所遭遇的像一般人的遭遇一樣，那麼就不是耶和華派我來的。

民16:29（CLV）倘若這些人死得與別人毫無分別，遭遇也跟別人相同，我就不是主派來的。

Numbers 16:29（KJV）If these men die the common death of all men, or if they be visited after the visitation of all men; then the LORD hath not sent me.

Numbers 16:29（NIV）If these men die a natural death and experience only what usually happens to men, then the LORD has not sent me.

民16:30（UCV）倘若耶和華創作一件新事，使地開口，把他們和一切屬他們的都吞下去，叫他們活活的墜落陰間，你們就明白這些人是藐視耶和華了。」

民16:30（NCV）如果耶和華作一件新事，使地開口，把他們和他們所有的都吞下去，叫他們活活地下到陰間，這樣你們就知道這些人是藐視耶和華了。」

民16:30（CLV）但倘若主創造前所未有的奇事，使地裂開，把他們和他們的一切都吞進去，叫他們活生生地墮進陰間，那你們就得相信這些人是藐視主的。」

Numbers 16:30（KJV）But if the LORD make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then ye shall understand that these men have provoked the LORD.

Numbers 16:30（NIV）But if the LORD brings about something totally new, and the earth opens its mouth and swallows them, with everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the grave, then you will know that these men have treated the LORD with contempt."

Numbers 16:31（KJV）And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them:

Numbers 16:37（KJV）Speak unto Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest, that he take up the censers out of the burning, and scatter thou the fire yonder; for they are hallowed.

Numbers 16:37（NIV）"Tell Eleazar son of Aaron, the priest, to take the censers out of the smoldering remains and scatter the coals some distance away, for the censers are holy--

民16:38（UCV）把那些犯罪自害己命之人的香爐，叫人錘成片子，用以包壇。那些香爐本是他們在耶和華面前獻過的，所以是聖的，並且可以給以色列人作記號。」

Numbers 16:38（KJV）The censers of these sinners against their own souls, let them make them broad plates for a covering of the altar: for they offered them before the LORD, therefore they are hallowed: and they shall be a sign unto the children of Israel.

Numbers 16:38（NIV）the censers of the men who sinned at the cost of their lives. Hammer the censers into sheets to overlay the altar, for they were presented before the LORD and have become holy. Let them be a sign to the Israelites."

Numbers 16:39（KJV）And Eleazar the priest took the brasen censers, wherewith they that were burnt had offered; and they were made broad plates for a covering of the altar:

Numbers 16:39（NIV）So Eleazar the priest collected the bronze censers brought by those who had been burned up, and he had them hammered out to overlay the altar,

Numbers 16:40（KJV）To be a memorial unto the children of Israel, that no stranger, which is not of the seed of Aaron, come near to offer incense before the LORD; that he be not as Korah, and as his company: as the LORD said to him by the hand of Moses.

Numbers 16:40（NIV）as the LORD directed him through Moses. This was to remind the Israelites that no one except a descendant of Aaron should come to burn incense before the LORD, or he would become like Korah and his followers.

Numbers 16:41（KJV）But on the morrow all the congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron, saying, Ye have killed the people of the LORD.

Numbers 16:41（NIV）The next day the whole Israelite community grumbled against Moses and Aaron. "You have killed the LORD'S people," they said.

Numbers 16:42（KJV）And it came to pass, when the congregation was gathered against Moses and against Aaron, that they looked toward the tabernacle of the congregation: and, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of the LORD appeared.

Numbers 16:42（NIV）But when the assembly gathered in opposition to Moses and Aaron and turned toward the Tent of Meeting, suddenly the cloud covered it and the glory of the LORD appeared.

Numbers 16:45（KJV） Get you up from among this congregation, that I may consume them as in a moment. And they fell upon their faces.

Numbers 16:46（KJV）And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a censer, and put fire therein from off the altar, and put on incense, and go quickly unto the congregation, and make an atonement for them: for there is wrath gone out from the LORD; the plague is begun.

Numbers 16:46（NIV）Then Moses said to Aaron, "Take your censer and put incense in it, along with fire from the altar, and hurry to the assembly to make atonement for them. Wrath has come out from the LORD; the plague has started."

Numbers 16:47（KJV）And Aaron took as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the congregation; and, behold, the plague was begun among the people: and he put on incense, and made an atonement for the people.
