Numbers 17:1（KJV）And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

民17:2（UCV）「你曉諭以色列人，從他們手下取杖，每支派一根，從他們所有的首領，按著支派，共取十二根，你要將各人的名字寫在各人的杖上。

民17:2（NCV）「你要吩咐以色列人，要從他們手中取杖，按著父家每支派一根，從他們所有的領袖，按著他們的父家，共取十二根杖，你要把各人的名字寫在各人的杖上；

民17:2（CLV）「你叫以色列十二族的領袖，每人拿一根杖來，共十二根。你要把各人的名字寫在杖上面。

Numbers 17:2（KJV） Speak unto the children ofIsrael, and take of every one of them a rod according to the house of their fathers, of all their princes according to the house of their fathers twelve rods: write thou every man's name upon his rod.

Numbers 17:2（NIV）"Speak to the Israelites and get twelve staffs from them, one from the leader of each of their ancestral tribes. Write the name of each man on his staff.

民17:3（UCV）並要將亞倫的名字寫在利未的杖上，因為各族長必有一根杖。

Numbers 17:3（KJV）And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi: for one rod shall be for the head of the house of their fathers.

Numbers 17:3（NIV）On the staff of Levi write Aaron's name, for there must be one staff for the head of each ancestral tribe.

民17:4（UCV）你要把這些杖存在會幕內法櫃前，就是我與你們相會之處。

Numbers 17:4（KJV）And thou shalt lay them up in the tabernacle of the congregation before the testimony, where I will meet with you.

民17:5（UCV）後來我所揀選的那人，他的杖必發芽，這樣我必使以色列人向你們所發的怨言止息，不再達到我耳中。」

Numbers 17:5（KJV）And it shall come to pass, that the man's rod, whom I shall choose, shall blossom: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, whereby they murmur against you.

Numbers 17:5（NIV）The staff belonging to the man I choose will sprout, and I will rid myself of this constant grumbling against you by the Israelites."

Numbers 17:6（KJV）And Moses spake unto the children of Israel, and every one of their princes gave him a rod apiece, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.

Numbers 17:6（NIV）So Moses spoke to the Israelites, and their leaders gave him twelve staffs, one for the leader of each of their ancestral tribes, and Aaron's staff was among them.

民17:7（UCV）摩西就把杖存在法櫃的帳幕內，在耶和華面前。

Numbers 17:7（KJV）And Moses laid up the rods before the LORD in the tabernacle of witness.

民17:8（UCV）第二天摩西進法櫃的帳幕去，誰知，利未族亞倫的杖已經發了芽，生了花苞，開了花，結了熟杏。

Numbers 17:8（KJV）And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

Numbers 17:8（NIV）The next day Moses entered the Tent of the Testimony and saw that Aaron's staff, which represented the house of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds.

民17:9（UCV）摩西就把所有的杖，從耶和華面前拿出來，給以色列眾人看，他們看見了，各首領就把自己的杖拿去。

Numbers 17:9（KJV）And Moses brought out all the rods from before the LORD unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.

民17:10（UCV）耶和華吩咐摩西說：「把亞倫的杖還放在法櫃前，給這些背叛之子留作記號，這樣你就使他們向我發的怨言止息，免得他們死亡。」

民17:10（NCV）耶和華對摩西說：「把亞倫的杖放回約櫃前，給那些背叛的人留作證據，這樣你就使他們向我發的怨言止息，免得他們死亡。」

民17:10（CLV）主對摩西說：「把亞倫的杖放回法櫃前面去，給這些叛逆的人留作鑒戒。這樣，你就可以平息他們向我所發的怨言，免得他們遭受死亡了。」

Numbers 17:10（KJV） And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron's rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.

Numbers 17:10（NIV）The LORD said to Moses, "Put back Aaron's staff in front of the Testimony, to be kept as a sign to the rebellious. This will put an end to their grumbling against me, so that they will not die."

Numbers 17:12（KJV）And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we die, we perish, we all perish.

Numbers 17:12（NIV）The Israelites said to Moses, "We will die! We are lost, we are all lost!

民17:13（UCV）凡挨近耶和華帳幕的是必死的，我們都要死亡麼？」

民17:13（NCV）走近耶和華帳幕的，都必定死；難道我們都要死嗎﹖」

民17:13（CLV）凡走近主會幕的都要死，我們豈不是全都要滅亡嗎？」

Numbers 17:13（KJV）Whosoever cometh any thing near unto the tabernacle of the LORD shall die: shall we be consumed with dying?

Numbers 17:13（NIV）Anyone who even comes near the tabernacle of the LORD will die. Are we all going to die?"
