民25:1（UCV）【以色列人在什亭奉巴力毘珥】以色列人住在什亭，百姓與摩押女子行起淫亂。

民25:1（NCV）【以色列人在毘珥被誘惑】以色列人住在什亭，人民與摩押的女子行起淫亂來。

民25:1（CLV）以色列人停留在什亭的時候，民眾就跟摩押的女子幹起淫亂的事情來。

Numbers 25:1（KJV）And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.

Numbers 25:1（NIV）【Moab Seduces Israel】While Israel was staying in Shittim, the men began to indulge in sexual immorality with Moabite women,

民25:2（UCV）因為這女子叫百姓來，一同給他們的神獻祭，百姓就吃他們的祭物，跪拜他們的神。

民25:2（NCV）那些女子叫以色列人來，一同給她們的神獻祭，就以色列人吃了她們的祭物，跪拜她們的神。

Numbers 25:2（KJV）And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.

Numbers 25:2（NIV）who invited them to the sacrifices to their gods. The people ate and bowed down before these gods.

民25:3（UCV）以色列人與巴力毘珥連合，耶和華的怒氣就向以色列人發作。

Numbers 25:3（KJV）And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.

Numbers 25:3（NIV）So Israel joined in worshiping the Baal of Peor. And the LORD'S anger burned against them.

民25:4（UCV）耶和華吩咐摩西說：「將百姓中所有的族長，在我面前對著日頭懸掛，使我向以色列人所發的怒氣可以消了。」

民25:4（NCV）耶和華對摩西說：「把人民的首領都捉來，在我耶和華面前對著太陽把他們懸掛起來，好使耶和華的烈怒可以轉消，不向以色列人發作。」

民25:4（CLV）祂對摩西說：「捉拿所有民眾的領袖，你要在光天化日之下在我面前把他們正法，這才可以消減我的怒氣。」

Numbers 25:4（KJV）And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.

Numbers 25:4（NIV）The LORD said to Moses, "Take all the leaders of these people, kill them and expose them in broad daylight before the LORD, so that the LORD'S fierce anger may turn away from Israel."

民25:5（UCV）於是摩西吩咐以色列的審判官說：「凡屬你們的人，有與巴力毘珥連合的，你們各人要把他們殺了。」

民25:5（NCV）於是摩西對以色列的審判官說：「你們各人要把與巴力．毘珥連合的人都殺了。」

Numbers 25:5（KJV）And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.

Numbers 25:5（NIV） So Moses said to Israel's judges, "Each of you must put to death those of your men who have joined in worshiping the Baal of Peor."

民25:6（UCV）摩西和以色列全會眾正在會幕門前哭泣的時候，誰知，有以色列中的一個人，當他們眼前，帶著一個米甸女人到他弟兄那裏去。

Numbers 25:6（KJV）And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

Numbers 25:6（NIV）Then an Israelite man brought to his family a Midianite woman right before the eyes of Moses and the whole assembly of Israel while they were weeping at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.

民25:7（UCV）祭司亞倫的孫子、以利亞撒的兒子非尼哈看見了，就從會中起來，手裏拿著槍，

Numbers 25:7（KJV）And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;

Numbers 25:7（NIV）When Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron, the priest, saw this, he left the assembly, took a spear in his hand

民25:8（UCV）跟隨那以色列人進亭子裏去，便將以色列人和那女人由腹中刺透。這樣，在以色列人中瘟疫就止息了。

民25:8（NCV）跟著那以色列人，進入臥室，把他們兩人刺透，就是刺透那以色列人，和那女子。槍刺進了那女子的肚腹。這樣，在以色列人中的瘟疫才止住。

民25:8（CLV）追進那人的帳棚去裡，一槍刺透那對男女的腹部，殺死了他們。這事以後，在以色列人中蔓延的瘟疫就止住了。

Numbers 25:8（KJV）And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.

Numbers 25:8（NIV）and followed the Israelite into the tent. He drove the spear through both of them--through the Israelite and into the woman's body. Then the plague against the Israelites was stopped;

民25:9（UCV）那時遭瘟疫死的，有二萬四千人。

民25:9（NCV）那時因瘟疫而死的，共有二萬四千人。

民25:9（CLV）但那一次瘟疫已經殺死了二萬四千人。

Numbers 25:9（KJV）And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.

民25:11（CLV）「亞倫祭司的孫兒、以利亞撒的兒子非尼哈止住了我對以色列人的怒氣。他懷著與我同樣忌邪的心腸，所以這一次我沒有消滅以色列人。

Numbers 25:11（KJV）Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.

Numbers 25:11（NIV）"Phinehas son of Eleazar, the son ofAaron, the priest, has turned my anger away from the Israelites; for he was as zealous as I am for my honor among them, so that in my zeal I did not put an end to them.

民25:12（UCV）因此，你要說，我將我平安的約賜給他。

Numbers 25:12（KJV）Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:

Numbers 25:13（KJV） And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.

Numbers 25:13（NIV） He and his descendants will have a covenant of a lasting priesthood, because he was zealous for the honor of his God and made atonement for the Israelites."

Numbers 25:14（KJV）Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites.

Numbers 25:14（NIV）The name of the Israelite who was killed with the Midianite woman was Zimri son of Salu, the leader of a Simeonite family.

Numbers 25:15（KJV）And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian.

Numbers 25:15（NIV）And the name of the Midianite woman who was put to death was Cozbi daughter of Zur, a tribal chief of a Midianite family.

Numbers 25:16（KJV）And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,

Numbers 25:18（NIV）because they treated you as enemies when they deceived you in the affair of Peor and their sister Cozbi, the daughter of a Midianite leader, the woman who was killed when the plague came as a result of Peor."
