Numbers 35:1（KJV）And the LORD spake unto Moses in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho, saying,

Numbers 35:1（NIV）【Towns for the Levites 】 On the plains of Moab by the Jordan across from Jericho, the LORD said to Moses,

民35:2（UCV）「吩咐以色列人，要從所得為業的地中把些城給利未人居住，也要把這城四圍的郊野給利未人。

民35:2（NCV）「你要吩咐以色列人，叫他們從所得為業的地中，把一些城給利未人居住，也把這些城周圍的郊區給利未人。

民35:2（CLV）「你去告訴以色列人要在分得的土地上把一些城鎮和四周的草原分給利未人；

Numbers 35:2（KJV） Command the children of Israel, that they give unto the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and ye shall give also unto the Levites suburbs for the cities round about them.

Numbers 35:2（NIV）"Command the Israelites to give the Levites towns to live in from the inheritance the Israelites will possess. And give them pasturelands around the towns.

民35:3（UCV）這城邑要歸他們居住，城邑的郊野可以牧養他們的牛羊，和各樣的牲畜，又可以安置他們的財物。

民35:3（NCV）這些城要歸他們居住，城的郊區可以牧放他們的牛羊，和一切牲畜，也可以存放他們的財物。

Numbers 35:3（KJV）And the cities shall they have to dwell in; and the suburbs of them shall be for their cattle, and for their goods, and for all their beasts.

Numbers 35:3（NIV）Then they will have towns to live in and pasturelands for their cattle, flocks and all their other livestock.

民35:4（UCV）你們給利未人的郊野，要從城根起，四圍往外量一千肘。

民35:4（NCV）你們給利未人的城郊，要從城牆起，周圍向外量四百五十公尺。

Numbers 35:4（KJV）And the suburbs of the cities, which ye shall give unto the Levites, shall reach from the wall of the city and outward a thousand cubits round about.

Numbers 35:4（NIV）"The pasturelands around the towns that you give the Levites will extend out fifteen hundred feet from the town wall.

民35:5（UCV）另外東量二千肘，南量二千肘，西量二千肘，北量二千肘為邊界，城在當中。這要歸他們作城邑的郊野。

民35:5（NCV）你們又要從城外，向東面量九百公尺，向南面量九百公尺，向西面量九百公尺，向北面量九百公尺，城在中間；這要歸給他們作城外的郊區。

民35:5（CLV）這樣，城在中央，東西南北每邊的周界便相隔九百公尺，這些草原是利未人的牧場。

Numbers 35:5（KJV）And ye shall measure from without the city on the east side two thousand cubits, and on the south side two thousandcubits, and on the west side two thousand cubits, and on the north side two thousand cubits; and the city shall be in the midst: this shall be to them the suburbs of the cities.

Numbers 35:5（NIV）Outside the town, measure three thousand feet on the east side, three thousand on the south side, three thousand on the west and three thousand on the north, with the town in the center. They will have this area as pastureland for the towns.

民35:6（UCV）【設立逃城】你們給利未人的城邑，其中當有六座逃城，使誤殺人的可以逃到那裏。此外還要給他們四十二座城。

民35:6（NCV）你們分給利未人的城，其中要有六座避難城，讓誤殺人的可以逃到那裏去，此外還要給他們四十二座城。

民35:6（CLV）分給利未人的城鎮，要包括那六座給誤殺者躲避的逃城；此外，利未人還應該得到四十二座城。

Numbers 35:6（KJV）And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may flee thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities.

Numbers 35:6（NIV）< Cities of Refuge > "Six of the towns you give the Levites will be cities of refuge, to which a person who has killed someone may flee. In addition, give them forty-twoother towns.

民35:7（UCV）你們要給利未人的城，共有四十八座，連城帶郊野都要給他們。

民35:7（NCV）這樣，你們所要給利未人的城，共為四十八座，連城帶城效都要給他們。

民35:7（CLV）因此，分給利未人的城包括草原在內總數該是四十八座。

Numbers 35:7（KJV）So all the cities which ye shall give to the Levites shall be forty and eight cities: them shall ye give with their suburbs.

Numbers 35:7（NIV）In all you must give the Levites forty-eight towns, together with their pasturelands.

民35:8（UCV）以色列人所得的地業，從中要把些城邑給利未人。人多的就多給，人少的就少給。各支派要按所承受為業之地，把城邑給利未人。

民35:8（NCV）從以色列人所得的地業中，他們要把一些城給利未人，人多的就要多給，人少的就要少給；每個支派要照著自己承受的產業，把城分給利未人。」

民35:8（CLV）以色列各族之中，族大的就應多分一些，族小的就可以少分一點。」

Numbers 35:8（KJV）And the cities which ye shall give shall be of the possession of the children of Israel: from them that have many ye shall give many; but from them that have few ye shall give few: every one shall give of his cities unto the Levites according to his inheritance which he inheriteth.

Numbers 35:8（NIV）The towns you give the Levites from the land the Israelites possess are to be given in proportion to the inheritance of each tribe: Take many towns from a tribe that has many, but few from one that has few."

民35:9（UCV）耶和華曉諭摩西說：

民35:12（UCV）這些城可以作逃避報仇人的城，使誤殺人的不至於死，等他站在會眾面前聽審判。

Numbers 35:12（KJV）And they shall be unto you cities for refuge from the avenger; that the manslayer die not, until he stand before the congregation in judgment.

Numbers 35:12（NIV）They will be places of refuge from the avenger, so that a person accused of murder may not die before he stands trial before the assembly.

民35:13（UCV）你們所分出來的城，要作六座逃城。

民35:13（NCV）你們指定的城，要給你們作六座避難城。

Numbers 35:13（KJV）And of these cities which ye shall give six cities shall ye have for refuge.

Numbers 35:14（KJV）Ye shall give three cities on this side Jordan, and three cities shall ye give in the land of Canaan, which shall be cities of refuge.

民35:15（UCV）這六座城要給以色列人，和他們中間的外人並寄居的，作為逃城，使誤殺人的都可以逃到那裏。

民35:15（NCV）這六座城要給以色列人和外族人，以及他們中間寄居的人作避難城，使無心殺人的人，都可以逃到那裏去。

Numbers 35:15（KJV）These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may flee thither.

Numbers 35:15（NIV）These six towns will be a place of refuge for Israelites, aliens and any other people living among them, so that anyone who has killed another accidentally can flee there.

民35:16（UCV）【處理殺人犯的條例】倘若人用鐵器打人，以致打死，他就是故殺人的，故殺人的必被治死。

民35:16（NCV）如果人用鐵器打人，以致把人打死，他就是故意殺人的；故意殺人的必被處死。

民35:16（CLV）可是，倘若有人用鐵器、石頭或木造器皿打死了人，他便是蓄意殺人，必須處死。

Numbers 35:16（KJV）And if he smite him with an instrument of iron, so that he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

Numbers 35:16（NIV）"'If a man strikes someone with an iron object so that he dies, he is a murderer; the murderer shallbe put to death.

民35:17（UCV）若用可以打死人的石頭打死了人，他就是故殺人的，故殺人的必被治死。

民35:17（NCV）如果人手裏拿著可以打死人的石頭打人，以致把人打死，他就是故意殺人的；故意殺人的必被處死。

Numbers 35:17（KJV）And if he smite him with throwing a stone, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

Numbers 35:17（NIV）Or if anyone has a stone in his hand that could kill, and he strikes someone so that he dies, he is a murderer; the murderer shall be put to death.

民35:18（UCV）若用可以打死人的木器打死了人，他就是故殺人的，故殺人的必被治死。

民35:18（NCV）如果人手裏拿著可以打死人的木器打人，以致把人打死，他就是故意殺人的；故意殺人的必被處死。

Numbers 35:18（KJV）Or if he smite him with an hand weapon of wood, wherewith he may die, and he die, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

Numbers 35:18（NIV）Or if anyone has a wooden object in his hand that could kill, and he hits someone so that he dies, he is a murderer; the murderer shall be put to death.

民35:19（UCV）報血仇的，必親自殺那故殺人的，一遇見就殺他。

民35:19（NCV）報血仇的，要親自把那故意殺人的殺死；一遇見他，就可以殺死他。

民35:19（CLV）報仇的人有權親手殺他，一找到他就可以把他處死。

Numbers 35:19（KJV）The revenger of blood himself shall slay the murderer: when he meeteth him, he shall slay him.

Numbers 35:19（NIV）The avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death; when he meets him, he shall put him to death.

民35:20（UCV）人若因怨恨把人推倒，或是埋伏往人身上扔物，以致於死，

民35:20（NCV）如果人因懷恨把人推倒，或是埋伏著向人扔東西，以致把人打死；

民35:20（CLV）倘若有人因仇怨把人推倒致死，或是埋伏起來用物件擲死他，或徒手把他殺死，這人就是蓄意殺人，必須處死；報仇的一找到他就可以把他處死。

Numbers 35:20（KJV）But if he thrust him of hatred, or hurl at him by laying of wait, that he die;

Numbers 35:20（NIV）If anyone with malice aforethought shoves another or throws something at him intentionally so that he dies

民35:21（UCV）或是因仇恨用手打人，以致於死，那打人的必被治死。他是故殺人的，報血仇的一遇見就殺他。

民35:21（NCV）或者因仇恨用手打人，以致把人打死；那打人的，必被處死，因為他是故意殺人的，報血仇的一遇見兇手，就可以殺死他。

Numbers 35:21（KJV） Or in enmity smite him with his hand, that he die: he that smote him shall surely be put to death; for he is a murderer: the revenger of blood shall slay the murderer, when he meeteth him.

Numbers 35:21（NIV）or if in hostility he hits him with his fist so that he dies, that person shall be put to death; he is a murderer. The avenger of blood shall put the murderer to death when he meets him.

民35:22（UCV）倘若人沒有仇恨，忽然將人推倒，或是沒有埋伏，把物扔在人身上，

民35:22（NCV）但是，如果人沒有仇恨，忽然把人推倒，或是無意向人投擲甚麼器皿，

民35:22（CLV）如果雙方素無仇怨，只是意外把人推倒或無意投物，

Numbers 35:22（KJV） But if he thrust him suddenly without enmity, or have cast upon him any thing without laying of wait,

Numbers 35:22（NIV）"'But if without hostility someone suddenly shoves another or throws something at him unintentionally

民35:23（UCV）或是沒有看見的時候，用可以打死人的石頭扔在人身上，以致於死，本來與他無仇，也無意害他，

民35:23（NCV）或是因為沒有看見，用任何可以打死人的石頭，扔在人身上，以致把人打死，他本來與他無仇，也無意害他；

民35:23（CLV）或錯手擲石以致別人死亡而誤殺別人的，他根本沒有害人之心，

Numbers 35:23（KJV）Or with any stone, wherewith a man may die, seeing him not, and cast it upon him, that he die, and was not his enemy, neither sought his harm:

Numbers 35:23（NIV） or, without seeing him, drops a stone on him that could kill him, and he dies, then since he was not his enemy and he did not intend to harm him,

民35:24（UCV）會眾就要照典章，在打死人的和報血仇的中間審判。

民35:24（NCV）這樣，會眾就要照著典章，在打死人的和報血仇的人中間施行裁判。

民35:24（CLV）會眾就應該依據這規例，在誤殺者與復仇者之間作出公平的判決，

Numbers 35:24（KJV）Then the congregation shall judge between the slayer and the revenger of blood according to these judgments:

Numbers 35:24（NIV）the assembly must judge betweenhim and the avenger of blood according to these regulations.

Numbers 35:25（NIV）The assembly must protect the one accused of murder from the avenger of blood and send him back to the city of refuge to which he fled. He must stay there until the death of the high priest, who was anointed with the holy oil.

民35:25（UCV）會眾要救這誤殺人的脫離報血仇人的手，也要使他歸入逃城。他要住在其中，直等到受聖膏的大祭司死了。

民35:25（NCV）會眾要把誤殺人的，從報血仇人的手中救出來；他要住在城中，直到受膏的大祭司死了。

民35:25（CLV）把誤殺者從復仇者手裡救出來，讓他回到逃城去；可是他一定要住在那裡，直到在任大祭司逝世為止。

Numbers 35:25（KJV）And the congregation shall deliver the slayer out of the hand of the revenger of blood, and the congregation shall restore him to the city of his refuge, whither he was fled: and he shall abide in it unto the death of the high priest, which was anointed with the holy oil.

民35:26（UCV）但誤殺人的，無論甚麼時候，若出了逃城的境外，

民35:26（NCV）但誤殺人的，若是出了他逃進的避城的境難界，

民35:26（CLV）如果殺人者離開逃城，

Numbers 35:26（KJV）But if the slayer shall at any time come without the border of the city of his refuge, whither he was fled;

Numbers 35:27（KJV）And the revenger of blood find him without the borders of the city of his refuge, and the revenger of blood kill the slayer; he shall not be guilty of blood:

Numbers 35:27（NIV）and the avenger of blood finds him outside the city, the avenger of blood may kill the accused without being guilty of murder.

民35:28（UCV）因為誤殺人的該住在逃城裏，等到大祭司死了。大祭司死了以後，誤殺人的纔可以回到他所得為業之地。

民35:28（NCV）因為那誤殺人的應該住在避難城中，直到大祭司死了；大祭司死了以後，那誤殺人的才可以回到他自己地業去。

民35:28（CLV）因為那人本該留在逃城內直到在任的大祭司死了，他才可以回家。

Numbers 35:28（KJV）Because he should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high priest: but after the death of the high priest the slayer shall return into the land of his possession.

Numbers 35:28（NIV）The accused must stay in his city of refuge until the death of the high priest; only after the death of the high priest may he return to his own property.

民35:29（UCV）這在你們一切的住處，要作你們世世代代的律例、典章。

民35:29（NCV）這在你們一切居住的地方，要作你們世世代代的律例典章。

民35:29（CLV）這是你們世世代代無論住在哪裡都應當遵守的命令。

Numbers 35:29（KJV）So these things shall be for a statute of judgment unto you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

Numbers 35:29（NIV）"'These are to be legal requirements for you throughout the generations to come, wherever you live.

民35:30（UCV）無論誰故殺人，要憑幾個見證人的口把那故殺人的殺了，只是不可憑一個見證的口叫人死。

民35:30（NCV）殺人的，要憑著幾個見證人的口供，才可以把他處死；如果只有一個見證人，就不能指證把人處死。

民35:30（CLV）倘若要判一個人死罪，就必須有幾個證人作證才可以定罪。憑一個人的證供是不足以定罪的。

Numbers 35:30（KJV）Whoso killeth any person, the murderer shall be put to death by the mouth of witnesses: but one witness shall not testify against any person to cause him to die.

Numbers 35:30（NIV）"'Anyone who kills aperson is to be put to death as a murderer only on the testimony of witnesses. But no one is to be put to death on the testimony of only one witness.

民35:31（UCV）故殺人犯死罪的，你們不可收贖價代替他的命，他必被治死。

民35:31（NCV）犯了死罪，故意殺人的，你們不可收取贖價代他贖命，因為他必被處死。

民35:31（CLV）定了死罪的兇手不能用贖金代替死刑，他必須以命償命。

Numbers 35:31（KJV）Moreover ye shall take no satisfaction for the life of a murderer, which is guilty of death: but he shall be surely put to death.

Numbers 35:31（NIV）"'Do not accept a ransom for the life of a murderer, who deserves to die. He must surely be put to death.

民35:32（UCV）那逃到逃城的人，你們不可為他收贖價，使他在大祭司未死以先，再來住在本地。

民35:32（NCV）逃到避難城的人，你們不可收取贖他的贖價，使他在大祭司未死以前回到本地居住。

民35:32（CLV）躲進逃城的人也不能用贖金來買特權，使他在在任大祭司逝世前回家。

Numbers 35:32（KJV）And ye shall take no satisfaction for him that is fled to the city of his refuge, that he should come again to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest.

Numbers 35:32（NIV）"'Do not accept a ransom for anyone who has fled to a city of refuge and so allow him to go back and live on his own land before the death of the high priest.

民35:33（UCV）這樣，你們就不污穢所住之地，因為血是污穢地的，若有在地上流人血的，非流那殺人者的血，那地就不得潔淨〔 『潔淨』原文作『贖』〕。

民35:33（NCV）這樣，你們就沒有玷污你們居住的地，因為血能玷污地；在地上如果有流人血的，除非流那故意殺人者的血，那地的血就不能得贖。

民35:33（CLV）這樣，你們就不致玷污你們所居住的地方，因為血腥是會玷污土地的。除了用兇手的血作抵償以外，被血腥所玷污的土地是無法得贖的。

Numbers 35:33（KJV）So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.

Numbers 35:33（NIV）"'Do not pollute the land where you are. Bloodshed pollutes the land, and atonement cannot be made for the land on which blood has been shed, except by the blood of the one who shed it.

民35:34（UCV）你們不可玷污所住之地，就是我住在其中之地，因為我耶和華住在以色列人中間。』」

民35:34（NCV）你們不可玷污你所住的地，就是我居住的地，因為我耶和華是居住在以色列人中間的。』」

民35:34（CLV）你們不可玷污自己所居住的土地，因為這是我居住的地方。我耶和華住在以色列人中間。」

Numbers 35:34（KJV） Defile not therefore the land which ye shall inhabit, wherein I dwell: for I the LORD dwell among the children of Israel.
