Matthew 1:17（KJV）So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

Matthew 1:17（NIV）Thus there were fourteen generations in all from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Christ.

Matthew 1:18（KJV）Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 1:18（NIV）【The Birth of Jesus Christ】 This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit.

太1:19（UCV）她丈夫約瑟是個義人，不願意明明的羞辱她，想要暗暗的把她休了。

太1:19（NCV）她丈夫約瑟是個義人，不願張揚使她受辱，就打算暗中與她解除婚約。

太1:19（CLV）約瑟為人正義，不願公開的令她難堪，便決定暗中和她解除婚約。

Matthew 1:19（KJV）Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.

Matthew 1:19（NIV） Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

太1:20（UCV）正思念這事的時候，有主的使者向他夢中顯現，說：「大衛的子孫約瑟，不要怕，只管娶過你的妻子馬利亞來，因她所懷的孕是從聖靈來的。

太1:20（NCV）他一直想著這些事，主的使者就在夢中向他顯現，說：「大衛的子孫約瑟，只管放膽把你的妻子馬利亞迎娶過來，因為她懷的孕是從聖靈來的。

Matthew 1:20（KJV）But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a dream, saying,Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

Matthew 1:20（NIV） But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said,"Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit."

太1:23（UCV）說：『必有童女懷孕生子，人要稱他的名為以馬內利。』（以馬內利繙出來就是『　神與我們同在』。）

Matthew 1:23（KJV）Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Matthew 1:23（NIV）"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"--which means, "God with us."

太1:24（UCV）約瑟醒了，起來，就遵著主使者的吩咐，把妻子娶過來；

Matthew 1:24（KJV）Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

Matthew 1:24（NIV）When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.

太1:25（UCV）只是沒有和她同房，等她生了兒子〔有古卷作『等他生了頭胎的兒子』〕，就給祂起名叫耶穌。

太1:25（NCV）只是在孩子出生以前，並沒有與她同房。約瑟給孩子起名叫耶穌。

太1:25（CLV）惟在她生下孩子之前，沒有與她同房。孩子生了下來，約瑟便為祂取名耶穌。
