太3:1（UCV）【施洗約翰傳道】那時，有施洗的約翰出來，在猶太的曠野傳道，說：

太3:1（CLV）那時，給人施洗的約翰來到猶太的荒野傳道，他一再說：

Matthew 3:1（KJV）In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea,

太3:2（UCV）「天國近了，你們應當悔改。」

Matthew 3:2（KJV）And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Matthew 3:3（KJV）For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

Matthew 3:3（NIV）This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah: "A voice of one calling in the desert, 'Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him.'"

太3:4（UCV）這約翰身穿駱駝毛的衣服，腰束皮帶，吃的是蝗蟲、野蜜。

Matthew 3:4（KJV）And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

太3:5（UCV）那時，耶路撒冷和猶太全地並約但河一帶地方的人，都出去到約翰那裏，

Matthew 3:5（KJV）Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all the region round about Jordan,

Matthew 3:5（NIV）People went out to him from Jerusalem and all Judea and the whole region of the Jordan.

太3:6（UCV）承認他們的罪，在約但河裏受他的洗。

Matthew 3:7（KJV）But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Matthew 3:7（NIV）But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to where he was baptizing, he said to them: "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

太3:8（UCV）你們要結出果子來與悔改的心相稱，

太3:8（NCV）應當結出果子來，與悔改的心相稱。

太3:8（CLV）你們該以行為來證實自己是真正的悔改，

Matthew 3:8（KJV）Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:

太3:9（UCV）不要自己心裏說：『有亞伯拉罕為我們的祖宗。』我告訴你們，　神能從這些石頭中給亞伯拉罕興起子孫來。

太3:9（NCV）你們心裏不要以為：『我們有亞伯拉罕作我們的祖宗。』我告訴你們，　神能從這些石頭中給亞伯拉罕興起後裔來。

太3:9（CLV）不要以為是亞伯拉罕的子孫就了不起，我告訴你們，上帝可以使這些石頭成為亞伯拉罕的子孫。

Matthew 3:9（KJV）And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Matthew 3:9（NIV）And do not think you can say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham.

太3:10（UCV）現在斧子已經放在樹根上，凡不結好果子的樹，就砍下來，丟在火裏。

太3:10（NCV）現在斧頭已經放在樹根上，所有不結好果子的樹，就砍下來，丟在火裏。

太3:10（CLV）現在斧頭已經放在樹根上了，不結好果子的樹都要砍下，丟在火裏焚燒。

Matthew 3:10（KJV）And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

Matthew 3:10（NIV）The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.

太3:11（UCV）【必有聖靈與火的洗】我是用水給你們施洗，叫你們悔改；但那在我以後來的能力比我更大，我就是給祂提鞋也不配。祂要用聖靈與火給你們施洗。

太3:11（NCV）我用水給你們施洗，表示你們悔改；但在我以後要來的那一位，能力比我更大，我就是替祂提鞋也沒有資格。祂要用聖靈與火給你們施洗。

太3:11（CLV）我現在只是用水為你們施洗，叫你們悔改，但不久之後，那一位比我更有能力的要來，我就是替祂提鞋也不配，祂要用『聖靈』和『火』為你們施洗。

Matthew 3:11（KJV）I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Matthew 3:11（NIV）"I baptize you with water for repentance. But after me will come one who is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not fit to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

太3:12（UCV）祂手裏拿著簸箕，要揚淨祂的場，把麥子收在倉裏，把糠用不滅的火燒盡了。」

Matthew 3:12（KJV）Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.

Matthew 3:12（NIV）His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable fire."

太3:13（UCV）【耶穌受洗】當下，耶穌從加利利來到約但河，見了約翰，要受他的洗。

太3:13（NCV）【耶穌受洗（可1:9-11、路3:21-22）】那時，耶穌從加利利來到約旦河約翰那裏，要受他的洗。

太3:13（CLV）事後，耶穌從加利利來到約旦河，要施洗的約翰為祂施洗。

Matthew 3:13（KJV）Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

Matthew 3:13（NIV）【The Baptism of Jesus】Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John.

太3:14（UCV）約翰想要攔住祂，說：「我當受你的洗，你反倒上我這裏來麼？」

太3:14（NCV）約翰想要阻止祂，說：「我應當受你的洗，你卻倒我這裏來嗎﹖」

太3:14（CLV）約翰對祂說：「應該是你為我施洗才對，我哪裏敢這樣做呢？」

Matthew 3:14（KJV）But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

Matthew 3:14（NIV）But John tried to deter him, saying, "I need to be baptized by you, and do you come to me?"

太3:15（UCV）耶穌回答說：「你暫且許我，因為我們理當這樣盡諸般的義〔或作『禮』〕。」於是約翰許了祂。

太3:15（NCV）耶穌回答：「暫且這樣作吧。我們理當這樣履行全部的義。」於是約翰答應了祂。

太3:15（CLV）耶穌回答：「你這樣做吧，我們應當盡一切的責任。」於是約翰答應了。

Matthew 3:15（KJV）And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. Then he suffered him.

Matthew 3:15（NIV）Jesus replied,"Let it be so now; it is proper for us to do this to fulfill all righteousness." Then John consented.

太3:16（UCV）耶穌受了洗，隨即從水裏上來，天忽然為祂開了，祂就看見　神的靈彷彿鴿子降下，落在祂身上。

太3:16（NCV）耶穌受了洗，立刻從水中上來；忽然，天為祂開了，祂看見　神的靈，好像鴿子降下來，落在祂身上；

太3:16（CLV）耶穌受了洗禮，剛從水裏上來，天立刻開了，上帝的聖靈像鴿子一樣降到祂身上；

Matthew 3:16（KJV）And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

Matthew 3:16（NIV）As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and lighting on him.

太3:17（UCV）從天上有聲音說：「這是我的愛子，我所喜悅的。」

太3:17（NCV）又有聲音從天上來，說：「這是我的愛子，我所喜悅的。」

太3:17（CLV）同時又有聲音從天上傳來：「祂是我喜悅的愛子。」

Matthew 3:17（KJV）And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Matthew 3:17（NIV）And a voice from heaven said,"This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
