John 5:3（KJV）In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.

John 5:3（NIV）Here a great number of disabled people used to lie--the blind, the lame, the paralyzed.

約5:4（UCV）因為有天使按時下池子攪動那水，水動之後，誰先下去，無論害甚麼病就痊瘉了。』〕

John 5:7（KJV）The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.

John 5:7（NIV）"Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me."

約5:8（UCV）耶穌對他說：「起來！拿你的褥子走吧！」

John 5:8（KJV）Jesus saith unto him,Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.

John 5:8（NIV）Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk."

約5:9（UCV）那人立刻痊癒，就拿起褥子來走了。

John 5:10（NIV）and so the Jews said to the man who had been healed, "It is the Sabbath; the law forbids you to carry your mat."

約5:11（UCV）他卻回答說：「那使我痊癒的對我說：『拿你的褥子走吧！』」

John 5:13（KJV）And he that was healed wist not who it was: for Jesus had conveyed himself away, a multitude being in that place.

John 5:13（NIV）The man who was healed had no idea who it was, for Jesus had slipped away into the crowd that was there.

約5:14（UCV）後來耶穌在殿裏遇見他，對他說：「你已經痊癒了，不要再犯罪，恐怕你遭遇的更加厲害。」

約5:14（NCV）後來，耶穌在殿裏遇見那人，對他說：「你已經痊癒了，不可再犯罪，免得招來更大的禍患。」

John 5:14（KJV）Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worsething come unto thee.

John 5:14（NIV）Later Jesus found him at the temple and said to him,"See, you are well again. Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you."

約5:15（UCV）那人就去告訴猶太人，使他痊癒的是耶穌。

John 5:15（KJV）The man departed, and told the Jews that it was Jesus, which had made him whole.

John 5:15（NIV）The man went away and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him well.

約5:16（UCV）所以猶太人逼迫耶穌，因為祂在安息日作了這事。

約5:16（NCV）從此猶太人就迫害耶穌，因為祂常常在安息日作這些事。

John 5:16（KJV）And therefore did the Jews persecute Jesus, and sought to slay him, because he had done these things on the sabbath day.

John 5:16（NIV）【Life Through the Son】So, because Jesus was doing these things on the Sabbath, the Jews persecuted him.

約5:17（UCV）耶穌就對他們說：「我父作事直到如今，我也作事。」

約5:17（NCV）耶穌卻對他們說：「我父作工直到現在，我也作工。」

約5:17（CLV）耶穌對他們說：「我父親一直工作，我也一樣工作。」

John 5:17（KJV）But Jesus answered them,My Father worketh hitherto, and I work.

John 5:17（NIV）Jesus said to them, "My Father is always at his work to this very day, and I, too, am working."

約5:18（UCV）所以猶太人越發想要殺祂，因祂不但犯了安息日，並且稱　神為祂的父，將自已和　神當作平等。

約5:18（NCV）因此猶太人就更想殺耶穌，因為祂不但破壞安息日，而且稱　神為自己的父，把自己與　神當作平等。

約5:18（CLV）猶太人聽了，更想殺祂，因祂不但違犯了安息日的規矩，而且稱上帝為父，把自己和上帝看作平等。

John 5:18（KJV）Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

John 5:18（NIV）For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God.

約5:19（UCV）【尊敬子如尊敬父】耶穌對他們說：「我實實在在地告訴你們：子憑著自己不能作甚麼；惟有看見父所作的，子才能作；父所作的事，子也照樣作。

約5:19（NCV）【人子的權柄】耶穌又對他們說：' 「我實實在在告訴你們，子靠著自己不能作甚麼，只能作祂看見父所作的；因為父所作的事，子也照樣作。

約5:19（CLV）耶穌說：「我確實地告訴你們，兒子不能憑著自己的力量和意思做甚麼事，惟有看見父上帝所做的，才照著做。

John 5:19（KJV）Then answered Jesus and said unto them,Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

John 5:19（NIV）Jesus gave them this answer:"I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.

約5:20（UCV）父愛子，將自己所作的一切事指給祂看，還要將比這更大的事指給祂看，叫你們希奇。

約5:20（NCV）父愛子，把自己所作的一切指示給祂看，還要把比這些更大的事指示給祂看，使你們驚奇。

約5:20（CLV）我的父親愛我，把自己所做的事指給我看，而且還要把更大的事指給我看，叫你們希奇。

John 5:20（KJV）For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

John 5:20（NIV）For the Father loves the Son and shows him all he does. Yes, to your amazement he will show him even greater things than these.

約5:21（UCV）父怎樣叫死人起來，使他們活著，子也照樣隨自己的意思使人活著。

約5:21（NCV）父怎樣叫死人復活，使他們得生命，子也照樣隨自己的意思使人得生命。'

約5:21（CLV）父上帝如何隨意使死人復活，兒子也能照樣做。

John 5:21（KJV）For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

John 5:21（NIV）For just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom he is pleased togive it.

約5:22（UCV）父不審判甚麼人，乃將審判的事全交與子，

約5:22（NCV）父不審判人，卻已經把審判的權柄完全交給子，

約5:22（CLV）父上帝不審判人，乃是將審判的事全交給兒子，

John 5:22（KJV）For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:

John 5:22（NIV）Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son,

約5:23（UCV）叫人都尊敬子如同尊敬父一樣。不尊敬子的，就是不尊敬差子來的父。

約5:23（NCV）使所有的人尊敬子好像尊敬父一樣。不尊敬子的，就是不尊敬那差他來的父。

John 5:23（KJV）That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.

John 5:23（NIV）that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him.

約5:24（UCV）我實實在在的告訴你們，那聽我話又信差我來者的，就有永生，不至於定罪，是已經出死入生了。

John 5:24（KJV）Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

John 5:24（NIV）"I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.

約5:25（UCV）我實實在在的告訴你們：時候將到，現在就是了，死人要聽見　神兒子的聲音，聽見的人就要活了。

John 5:25（NIV）I tell you the truth, a time is coming and has now come when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who hear will live.

約5:26（UCV）因為父怎樣在自己有生命，就賜給他兒子也照樣在自己有生命；

約5:26（NCV）就如父是生命的源頭，照樣祂也使子成為生命的源頭，

約5:26（CLV）因為父上帝自己是生命的源頭，祂也照樣賜給兒子作生命的源頭；

John 5:26（KJV）For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself;

John 5:26（NIV）For as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted the Son to have life in himself.

約5:27（UCV）並且因為祂是人子，就賜給祂行審判的權柄。

約5:27（NCV）並且把執行審判的權柄賜給祂，因為祂是人子。

John 5:27（KJV）And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is the Son of man.

John 5:33（KJV）Ye sent unto John , and he bare witness unto the truth.

John 5:36（NIV）"I have testimony weightier than that of John. For the very work that the Father has given me to finish, and which I am doing, testifies that the Father has sent me.

約5:37（UCV）差我來的父也為我作過見證。你們從來沒有聽見祂的聲音，也沒有看見祂的形像。

約5:37（NCV）差我來的父親自為我作了見證。祂的聲音，你們從沒有聽過；祂的容貌，你們從沒有見過；

約5:37（CLV）雖然你們沒有聽過祂的聲音，也沒有直接見過祂，父上帝卻曾親自替我作證。

John 5:37（KJV）And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me.Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.

John 5:37（NIV）And the Father who sent me has himself testified concerning me. You have never heard his voice nor seen his form,

約5:38（UCV）你們並沒有祂的道存在心裏，因為祂所差來的，你們不信。

約5:38（NCV）祂的道，你們也不放在心裏，因為你們不信祂所差來的那一位。

約5:38（CLV）可惜你們不聽從祂，不信我是上帝差來的。

John 5:38（KJV）And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.

John 5:39（KJV）Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

John 5:39（NIV）You diligently study the Scriptures because you think that by them you possess eternal life. These are the Scriptures that testify about me,

約5:44（UCV）你們互相受榮耀，卻不求從獨一之　神來的榮耀，怎能信我呢？

John 5:44（KJV）How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?

John 5:44（NIV）How can you believe if you accept praise from one another, yet make no effort to obtain the praise that comes from theonly God?
