約16:1（UCV）【主去為差保惠師來】我已將這些事告訴你們，使你們不至於跌倒。

約16:1（NCV）我把這些事告訴了你們，使你們不致後退。

約16:1（CLV）我把這些事告訴你們，是要使你們遭遇患難的時候，仍然不至動搖。

John 16:1（KJV）These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.

John 16:1（NIV）"All this I have told you so that you will not go astray.

約16:2（UCV）人要把你們趕出會堂；並且時候將到，凡殺你們的，就以為是事奉　神。

約16:2（NCV）人要把你們趕出會堂；並且時候要到，所有要殺害你們的人，以為這樣就是事奉　神。

約16:2（CLV）將來，有人要革除你們的教籍，甚至殺害你們，他們還滿以為是在事奉上帝呢。

John 16:2（KJV）They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

John 16:2（NIV）They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, a time is coming when anyone who kills you will think he is offering a service to God.

約16:3（UCV）他們這樣行，是因未曾認識父，也未曾認識我。

約16:3（NCV）他們要作這些事，因為他們不認識父，也不認識我。

約16:3（CLV）他們這樣做，是因為他們根本不認識父上帝，也不認識我。

John 16:3（KJV） And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

John 16:3（NIV）They will do such things because they have not known the Fatheror me.

約16:4（UCV）我將這事告訴你們，是叫你們到了時候，可以想起我對你們說過了；我起先沒有將這事告訴你們，因為我與你們同在。

約16:4（NCV）我把這些事告訴了你們，讓你們到了那個時候，可以想起我告訴過你們了。我起初先沒把這些事告訴你們，因為我跟你們在一起。

約16:4（CLV） 我現在把這些事情告訴你們，目的是要叫你們在事情發生的時候，可以想起這些事我早就跟你們講過。我以前沒有提起，那是因為我還跟你們在一起。

John 16:4（KJV）But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.

John 16:4（NIV）I have told you this, so that when the time comes you will remember that I warnedyou. I did not tell you this at first because I was with you.

約16:5（UCV）現今我往差我來的父那裏去，你們中間並沒有人問我『你往那裏去』；

約16:5（NCV）現今我要到那差我來的那裏去，你們中間並沒有人問：『你到哪裏去﹖』

約16:5（CLV）現在我要往差我來的上帝那裏去，但你們竟不問我去哪裏，

John 16:5（KJV）But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of youasketh me, Whither goest thou?

John 16:5（NIV）【The Work of the Holy Spirit】 "Now I am going to him who sent me, yet none of you asks me, 'Where are you going?'

約16:6（UCV）只因我將這事告訴你們，你們就滿心憂愁。

約16:6（NCV）然而因為我把這些事告訴了你們，你們心裏就充滿憂愁。

約16:6（CLV）只知道發愁；

John 16:6（KJV）But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

John 16:6（NIV）Because I have said these things, you are filled with grief.

約16:7（UCV）然而我將真情告訴你們：我去是與你們有益的。我若不去，保惠師就不到你們這裏來；我若去，就差祂來。

約16:7（NCV）但我要把實情告訴你們，我去是對你們有益的。如果我不去，保惠師就不會到你們這裏來；我若去了，就會差祂到你們這裏來。

約16:7（CLV）其實我去是對你們有益的。因為如果我不去，保惠師就不會來，我去了，就派祂到你們這裏來。

John 16:7（KJV）Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will sendhim unto you.

John 16:7（NIV）But I tell you the truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will send him to you.

約16:8（UCV）祂既來了，就要叫世人為罪、為義、為審判，自己責備自己。

約16:8（NCV）他來了，就要在罪、在義、在審判各方面指證世人的罪。

約16:8（CLV）祂來了，要指明甚麼是罪，甚麼是義，甚麼是審判，使世人知道自己有罪。

John 16:8（KJV）And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

John 16:8（NIV）When he comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment:

約16:9（UCV）為罪，是因他們不信我；

約16:9（NCV）在罪方面，是因為他們不信我；

約16:9（CLV）罪的意思就是指他們不相信我；

John 16:9（KJV）Of sin, because they believe not on me;

John 16:9（NIV）in regard to sin, because men do not believe in me;

約16:10（UCV）為義，是因我住父那裏去，你們就不再見我；

約16:10（NCV）在義方面，是因為我到父那裏去，你們就再看不見我；

約16:10（CLV）義的意思，就是指我要到父上帝那裏去，你們再也看不到我；

John 16:10（KJV）Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more;

John 16:10（NIV）in regard to righteousness, because I am going to the Father, where you can see me no longer;

約16:11（UCV）為審判，是因這世界的王受了審判。

約16:11（NCV）在審判方面，是因為這世界的統治者已經受了審判。

約16:11（CLV）至於審判，就是指這世界的王受到判決。

John 16:11（KJV）Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

John 16:11（NIV）and in regard to judgment, because the prince of this world now stands condemned.

約16:12（UCV）【主要引導門徒進入真理】我還有好些事要告訴你們，但你們現在擔當不了〔或作『不能領會』〕。

約16:12（NCV）我還有許多事要告訴你們，可是你們現在擔當不了；

約16:12（CLV）本來我還有許多事情要告訴你們，可是你們現在不明白。

John 16:12（KJV）I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

John 16:12（NIV）"I have much more to sayto you, more than you can now bear.

約16:13（UCV）只等真理的聖靈來了，祂要引導你們明白〔原文作『進入』〕一切的真理，因為祂不是憑自己說的，乃是把祂所聽見的都說出來，並要把將來的事告訴你們。

約16:13（NCV）只等真理的靈來了，他要引導你們進入一切真理。他不是憑著自己說話，而是把他聽見的都說出來，並且要把將來的事告訴你們。

約16:13（CLV）等到真理的聖靈來了，祂自然會指導你們，讓你們明白一切的真理。祂說的，也不是出於自己的意思，而是把從父上帝那裏聽見的，特別是有關將來的事，都告訴你們。

John 16:13（KJV）Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

John 16:13（NIV）But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come.

約16:14（UCV）祂要榮耀我，因為祂要將受於我的告訴你們。

約16:14（NCV）他要榮耀我，因為他要把從我那裏所領受的告訴你們。

約16:14（CLV）祂也要把從我那裏領會的指示你們，因而使我得榮耀。

John 16:14（KJV）He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

John 16:14（NIV）He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you.

約16:15（UCV）凡父所有的都是我的，所以我說，祂要將受於我的告訴你們。

約16:15（NCV）父所有的一切，都是我的；所以我說，他要把從我那裏所領受的告訴你們。

約16:15（CLV）因為父上帝的一切都是我的，所以我才說祂要把從我那裏領會的告訴你們。

John 16:15（KJV）All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

John 16:15（NIV）All that belongs tothe Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will take from what is mine and make it known to you.

約16:16（UCV）等不多時，你們就不得見我；再等不多時，你們還要見我。」

約16:16（NCV）不久，你們不會再看見我；再過不久，你們還要看見我。」

約16:16（CLV）等一會兒，你們就見不到我，不過再過一會兒，你們又看見我了。」

John 16:16（KJV）A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.

John 16:16（NIV）"In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me."

約16:17（UCV）有幾個門徒就彼此說：「他對我們說『等不多時，你們就不得見我；再等不多時，你們還要見我。』又說『因我往父那裏去。』這是甚麼意思呢？」

約16:17（NCV）於是他的門徒中有幾個彼此說：「他對我們說：『不久，你們不會看見我；再過不久，你們還要看見我。』又說，『因為我往父那裏去。』這是甚麼意思呢﹖」

約16:17（CLV）「一會兒見不到，一會兒又見到，祂究竟在說甚麼呢？祂又說`要到父上帝那裏去'，這到底是甚麼意思呢？

John 16:17（KJV）Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?

John 16:17（NIV）【The Disciples' Grief Will Turn to Joy】 Some of his disciples said to one another, "What does he mean by saying, 'In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me,' and'Because I am going to the Father'?"

約16:18（UCV）門徒彼此說：『他說等不多時』到底是甚麼意思呢？我們不明白他所說的話。」

約16:18（NCV）他們又說：「他所說的『不久』，是甚麼意思呢﹖我們不曉得他在講甚麼。」

約16:18（CLV）甚麼是一會兒呢？我們真不明白！」幾個門徒議論紛紛。

John 16:18（KJV）They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.

John 16:18（NIV）They kept asking, "What does he mean by'a little while'? We don't understand what he is saying."

約16:19（UCV）耶穌看出他們要問祂，就說：「我說『等不多時，你們就不得見我；再等不多時，你們還要見我』，你們為這話彼此相問嗎？

約16:19（NCV）耶穌知道他們想問他，就說：「我所說的『不久，你們不會看見我；再過不久，你們還要看見我』，你們為了這話彼此議論嗎？

約16:19（CLV）耶穌知道他們不明白，就解釋說：「我剛才說的，你們是不是不明白？

John 16:19（KJV） Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them,Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?

John 16:19（NIV）Jesus saw that they wanted to ask him about this, so he said to them, "Are you asking one another what I meant when I said, 'In a little while you will see me no more, and then after a little while you will see me'?

約16:20（UCV）我實實在在的告訴你們，你們將要痛哭、哀號，世人倒要喜樂。你們將要憂愁，然而你們的憂愁要變為喜樂。

約16:20（NCV）我實實在在告訴你們，你們要痛哭哀號、世人卻要歡喜；你們要憂愁，但你們的憂愁要變為喜樂。

約16:20（CLV）我確實地告訴你們，世人會為了快要臨到我身上的事情歡天喜地，你們卻憂愁失望，痛哭哀號；不過，你們的憂愁必會變成喜樂，

John 16:20（KJV）Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

John 16:20（NIV）I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn while the world rejoices. You will grieve, but your grief will turn to joy.

約16:21（UCV）婦人生產的時候就憂愁，因為她的時候到了；既生了孩子，就不再記念那苦楚，因為歡喜世上生了一個人。

約16:21（NCV）婦人生產的時候會有憂愁，因為她的時候到了；但生了孩子以後，就不再記住那痛苦了，因為歡喜有一個人生到世上來。

約16:21（CLV）正如快要生產的時候，產婦都會擔心害怕，但到了孩子生下來以後，她就會因為這世界添了一個新生命而忘掉剛才的愁苦，心裏充滿了歡樂。

John 16:21（KJV）A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

John 16:21（NIV） A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world.

約16:22（UCV）你們現在也是憂愁；但我要再見你們，你們的心就喜樂了，這喜樂也沒有人能奪去。

約16:22（NCV）現在你們也有憂愁；但我要再見你們，你們的心就會喜樂；你們的喜樂是沒有人能夠奪去的。

約16:22（CLV）同樣，現在你們雖然也有憂愁，但到我再見你們的時候，你們就會快樂了，而且這分喜樂是誰也不能奪去的。

John 16:22（KJV）And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

John 16:22（NIV） So with you:Now is your time of grief, but I will see you again and you will rejoice, and no one will take away your joy.

約16:23（UCV）【靠主名求父必要得著】到那日，你們甚麼也就不問我了。我實實在在地告訴你們，你們若向父求甚麼，祂必因我的名賜給你們。

約16:23（NCV）到了那天，你們甚麼也不會問我了。我實實在在告訴你們，你們奉我的名無論向父求甚麼，他必定賜給你們。

約16:23（CLV）我確實地告訴你們，到了那一天，你們就可以甚麼也不用問我而可以直接地向父上帝祈求了；你們無論求甚麼，祂都會因為我的緣故賜給你們。

John 16:23（KJV）And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.

John 16:23（NIV）In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

約16:24（UCV）向來你們沒有奉我的名求甚麼，如今你們求就必得著，叫你們的喜樂可以滿足。

約16:24（NCV）你們向來沒有奉我的名求甚麼；現在你們祈求，就必定得著，讓你們的喜樂滿溢。

約16:24（CLV）你們從來沒有以我的名義求過甚麼，現在如果你們求，就必得著，好讓你們的喜樂洋溢。

John 16:24（KJV）Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

John 16:24（NIV）Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.

約16:25（UCV）這些事，我是用比喻對你們說的；時候將到，我不再用比喻對你們說，乃要將父明明的告訴你們。

約16:25（NCV）我用比喻對你們說了這些事，時候要到，我不再用譬喻對你們說了，而是把關於父的事明明白白告訴你們。

約16:25（CLV）以前我是用比喻向你們解釋真理，但以後就不必了，因為我會直截了當地把父上帝介紹給你們。

John 16:25（KJV）These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak untoyou in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.

John 16:25（NIV） "Though I have been speaking figuratively, a time is coming when I will no longer use this kind of language but will tell you plainly about my Father.

約16:26（UCV）到那日，你們要奉我的名祈求；我並不對你們說，我要為你們求父，

約16:26（NCV）到了那天，你們要奉我的名祈求，我不是說我要為你們請求父；

約16:26（CLV）到了那天，你們自己可以用我的名義去求父上帝，我不說要我為你們求甚麼了。

John 16:26（KJV）At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you:

John 16:26（NIV）In that day you will ask in my name. I am not saying that I will ask the Father on your behalf.

約16:27（UCV）父自己愛你們，因為你們已經愛我，又信我是從父出來的。

約16:27（NCV）父自己愛你們，因為你們已經愛我，並且信我是從　神那裏來的。

約16:27（CLV）因為你們愛我，並且相信我是父上帝所差來的，所以祂也深深地愛你們。

John 16:27（KJV）For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God.

John 16:27（NIV）No, the Father himself loves you because you have loved me and have believed that I came from God.

約16:28（UCV）我從父出來，到了世界；我又離開世界，往父那裏去。」

約16:28（NCV）我從父那裏來，到了這世界；我又離開這世界，到父那裏去。」

約16:28（CLV）我從父上帝那裏來到世上，也要離開這個世界，回到祂那裏去。」

John 16:28（KJV） I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

John 16:28（NIV）I came from the Father and entered the world; now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father."

約16:29（UCV）門徒說：「如今你是明說，並不用比喻了。

約16:29（NCV）門徒說：「你看，現在你是明說，不是用譬喻說了。

約16:29（CLV）門徒說：「啊！你終於不再用比喻，直截了當地告訴我們了。

John 16:29（KJV） His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb.

John 16:29（NIV）Then Jesus' disciples said, "Now you are speaking clearly and without figures of speech.

約16:30（UCV）現在我們曉得你凡事都知道，也不用人問你，因此我們信你是從　神出來的。」

約16:30（NCV）現在我們知道你是無所不知的，不需要人向你發問。因此，我們信你是從　神那裏來的。」

約16:30（CLV）現在我們曉得你是無所不知的，而且不用別人告訴你甚麼。因此我們相信你是上帝所差來的。」

John 16:30（KJV）Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.

John 16:30（NIV）Now we can see that you know all things and that you do not even need to have anyone ask you questions. This makes us believe that you came from God."

約16:31（UCV）耶穌說：「現在你們信麼？

約16:31（NCV）耶穌對他們說：「現在你們信嗎﹖

約16:31（CLV）耶穌說：「現在你們相信了嗎？

John 16:31（KJV）Jesus answered them,Do ye now believe?

John 16:31（NIV）"You believe at last!" Jesus answered.

約16:32（UCV）看哪！時候將到，且是已經到了，你們要分散，各歸自己的地方去，留下我獨自一人；其實我不是獨自一人，因為有父與我同在。

約16:32（NCV）看哪，時候要到，而且已經到了，你們要分散，各人到自己的地方去，只留下我獨自一個人。其實我不是獨自一個人，因為有父與我同在。

約16:32（CLV）你們看！時候快到，現在就是了，你們將要分散，各回各家，只留下我一個人在這裏。不過，我並不孤單，因為父上帝與我在一起。

John 16:32（KJV）Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

John 16:32（NIV）"But a time is coming, and has come, when you will be scattered, each to his own home. You will leave me all alone. Yet Iam not alone, for my Father is with me.

約16:33（UCV）我將這些事告訴你們，是要叫你們在我裏面有平安。在世上你們有苦難，但你們可以放心，我已經勝了世界。」

約16:33（NCV）我將這些事告訴你們，是要使你們在我裏面有平安。在世上你們有患難，但你們放心，我已經勝了這世界。」

約16:33（CLV）我把這些事告訴你們，是要叫你們在我裏面有平安。你們在世界上要遭受苦難，但放心吧！我已經勝過了這個世界。」

John 16:33（KJV）These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

John 16:33（NIV）"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
